  • In this SolidWorks motion study tutorial, we replace the conventional rubber tyre with 12 springs per wheel and set the car into motion. We see the motion study results, where we can compare the motion and deformation of springs with traditional rubber tyre. The entire motion calculation and visualization is done using motion study tools of SolidWORKS 2017.

How tyre came into contact with road when they both did not have any mates?

    • @FUNCADwithMrROBOT

Tyre and road have 'solid body contact' defined. Due to gravity the tyre will touch the road and contact will be established

plz share the link of video where u made a car and road

Hi Chetan, currently there is no such video where I have created this car and road. However it is very simple to create. Make a sketch of car/road outline on front plane and then simply extrude it.
      Hope it helps.

Do we need to mate tyre with road?

Hello @haidiranwar1406 , we need not mate tyre with the road.
In my motion study, I have not mated it and the car is moving in forward direction purely because of motors.

    no reallity in the assumption

Every simulation starts with certain assumptions and then the model is tuned for real conditions
