      This is the comment!
      This is why they want him to shoot more today because it spreads the floor but that 2020 team with Dwight and J mcgee made AD game easier and now it's more work for him now without those other dominant bigs. There's a difference but Lakers can win it this year only if the young player play hard and focus listening to Bron. I feel they still one piece away to beat a Denver team. One more consistent player.

    Man, that 2019-2020 Lakers is something different. It's not just pure chemistry, it's brotherhood. Mix of young guys who can space, Lebron being the facilitator, AD at the 4 and dominated the position, and those big man veterans who are the energizers and leaders in the locker room. They are not just playing with their purpose, they played with fun. No doubt while that team has the best record in the NBA and cruised on every team they faced. There has been a stretch where they are 16-3.
    In the NBA Finals, Davis was clearly the best player and on track to win the Finals MVP if not only that game 5 was a James vs Butler show.

      Word. I admit that I marginalized him at times myself. Have to remember he was a 28-point scorer in New Orleans and is even more capable now. This dude has averaged more than 20 points on 50-56% shooting for 10 seasons straight, and at least 7 of those season were 25-28.

      It's not that he's gone, that A.D is alive and well!
      As someone said and as the Lakers were doing at one point, they need to look for another quality Big to play the 5 spot so A D can move back over to the 4 spot where he can display all of his offensive skills and talent.
      He would still clean up on D in the 4 as well.

    • @ThePrivateryan
      @ThePrivateryan 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was one of my big complaints, pun intended!
      Both Dwight and McGee not only took pressure off of A.D so he could use all of his talent while playing at the 4 spot but they were also Bench leaders and Locker Room guys. They helped keep the team together and positive while taking pressure off of A.D. As well as helped the Lakers to have the #1 defense in the league.
      Big mistake letting them go in my opinion.

  • @ThePrivateryan
    @ThePrivateryan 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think we tend to forget about how tight the team was in The Bubble year and that was a big deal which made a huge difference.
    But what they did after the following season is what really screwed them.
    Trading up for Russell Westbrook, letting Coruso walk and getting rid of Coach Vogel were very bad divisions.
    To this day I think keeping Dwight and McGee on the team as bench support and locker room guys would have helped them immensely as well, as they were a huge reason why the team was so tight in 2020.
    Rondo was also still an elite floor general in my opinion as well.
    Whether it was gambling on over the hill vets or getting rid of your proven Head Coach those next couple seasons were terrible upon terrible. Injuries and bad luck aside. I think the FO could have made better decisions than what they did since The Bubble Year.
    They have the chance to do something good again with the talent that they have this season as long as Coach Scam doesn't keep making bad decision after bad decision like he has been.
    Thank God Coach Phil Handy stuck around too.
