Some micros can be smaller; Little Forest Bats can weigh half of Maggie's weight and might be 2-3 grams (Maggie is around 6-7 grams). BTW Little Forest Bats have awesome feist and are extremely "shouty" and have the vocabulary of a salty sailor.

Green makes me happy, I don't know why, but it just does. Overalls make me happy because they have pockets; industrial sized pockets are necessary for a girl; you never know when you might find a baby dragon and need somewhere to stash it.
Katie, footstools have awesome utility but I didn't have one in my car; I know I can reach the buckets but I have to work for it, and life is too shot to work for things which could have been designed better.
I used to have a pair of Jean material overall shorts, fit just like a jumpsuit, they were popular in the 1980s,,,yes the pockets are great! You must have a particular store you can order from…..I like that color green, very springy,,,,I luv the bright colors…..

I love the microbats, such charming, feisty little critters. We don’t have any megabats where I live so these guys remind me of evenings spent watching the bats swooping overhead when I was younger. Loved watching them hunt the moths and things that gathered around street lights.
Oh yes, I had my green rainbow shoes on; they're not new but I haven't worn them until the last week (if that makes sense). They get dirtied by being near the release aviary whereas the blue rainbow shoes don't show the dirt. I do something every day but mostly I feel squidgy and have a loooooong long nap in teh arvos after the intensity of the mornings and daily life. I hope this will be sorted soon but I'm not holding my breath because the last surgical intervention 2 weeks ago didn't fix things,.
I cope and it's probably good for me to stretch, however my shoes get dirty in the dropped fruit and spats, and they were new green rainbow shoes and I had to wash them when I got home. Annoying. We're going for round 4 of kidney stone sorting out this week, until then I will probably remain squidgy; this is frustrating.

Summer is sticky hot with a humidex up to - 10 degrees c higher than actual temperature, and Winter is bloody cold with a wind chill of up to -10 degrees C lower than actual temperature. 🖤🇨🇦

Mango isn't available year round except expensively frozen, so easy to please doesn't go with mango. This little microbat isn't a fruit eater but eats insects on the wing.
There's a step ladder inside the cage; I'm only a slight squidge too short to reach the buckets; it's good for me to stretch. I think my feet are getting further away from my hands so clearly I am growing taller over the years (or that's what I'm telling you).
What a little cutie she is, teeth and all. So happy she's a survivor! Do you think she'll be able to complete her pregnancy? And someone needs to put pulleys on those fruit baskets for you! p.s. I actually have a "short" on my home page, first one ever. Milk comas aren't just a baby battie thing, itty bitty kittens get them, too. Thank you, Meg, for all you do!
If she's pregnant (likely) she will complete her pregnancy mostly while she's in torpor for the winter. I don't know if she's well enough or there is a window of opportunity for her to be released before it gets really cold at night; probably not. Maggie doesn't drink bubbles; we agree to differ on our choice of tipple. It's wild kapok vine I think, also called Moth vine. Moth vine is a fast growing climbing plant with hairy twining stems and large green fruit. It is poisonous to people and animals and smothers native vegetation. It does make awesome paper however with good wet strength; I used to make paper about 30 years ago, and it gave great wet strength to paper with its long and "sticky grabby" entwining fibres.
Ahh, I missed the reference. I think I'll just make everyone in my next life deal with my height whatever I am; I like the idea of bending them to my will and whim rather than having to change myself...
@Megabattie I kind have thought so, but if you were bitten during a video, you would have said so. You are very honest about the good and bad, and you never mentioned getting bit that I remember. You have said that getting bit by a microbat as an experience in pain, I bet getting bit by the the flying foxes is not fun either

Anything over 10 days means they have lost condition and need a supported release with flight aviary practice before release and food support after release. If they're a hand raised baby they need soft release and gradual integration into a colony because they don't know how to do this for themselves and you can't just let them go and hope they will have the social skills to integrate. If they're a wild juvie come into care after smacking into something or getting trapped somewhere, they're generally skinny and need a bit of fattening up before release so they go out through a supported release (flight aviary plus food support thereafter).
Hi, Don't know if you will see this but I work at a hotel where there is a tiny little bat smaller than my hand on the brick wall down some stairs outside. Been there for two days... should I try to move the poor thing? It moved last night but only about 10 feet.
I can see your comment Brad, however please get some local advice. If you go to Bat World Sanctuary's website they have the locations of batty rescuers around the US who can come or offer advice. I don't know what is wrong with your bat or why it's hanging out alone; I cannot advise you handling it or moving it. The rescuers will be able to assess why the bat is hanging out in such an odd place and what should be done about it.

How did you make your logo?
I helped support an artist when she was doing it tough; I gave her money and said I'll ask her for something later. She made me the logo.
You said she was shoutie, because her mouth was open - does that mean she was shouting, but at a pitch too high for us to hear?
