For my baby blanket I used 840g (1800 yd) of aran weight yarn and 23g of DK weight yarn for the border. The finished size of the baby blanket is 41.5in wide x 44.5in long including the border. You can easily adjust the size of your baby blanket and use any yarn weight with any hook size with the stitch multiple of 3.

Hi i have started this beautiful blanket in dk using 4mm hook. I have done 2 pattern rows but my work is wavy and curved. Any advise ro what I am doing wrong would be much appreciated. Many thanks
It’s probably your tension. Try making your base chain with a slightly bigger hook like 4.5mm and then continue with the 4mm.

This blanket looks lik you made the opposite side the top where the bow goes, compared the the pink one. What do you do whith the ends of the other two ribbons? In the baby girl blanket you said they all have to be the same lenght. It looked like you had some loose ribbon. Did you not weave ribbon through the whole blanket leaving the ends to tie a bow?
You only show a little at the end where you tie the bow. Though I made the first snow drop( baby girl), you seemed to have made this more clear in this one.
It is easier to follow you when you slow down and show what you are doing. That is much appreciated!!😊

this will be my next project. Question: Should one wash every item one crochets before selling or donating. And how should it be washed.
I think this will depend on lots of things. I personally don’t because I don’t have any pets. I simply include a little card with washing instructions and have the mom wash it first with the detergent of her choice since now a days parents prefer washing in special baby detergents.
This is absolutely beautiful! I would like to make this blanket but in DK weight yarn. Would you happen to have calculated how much yarn we'd need if using DK and a size 4mm hook please? I'm in the UK so there may be a little variation. Thanks again Sara. 😊❤
Im not sure how to calculate it sorry but I’d say with a smaller hook size you will probably only need between 500-600 grams depending how big you make it.

How did you count the rows
Along the very edge count the fans. You can also count the ch2 as 2 rows because every other row along the edge you ch2. You can also go by the measurement that I give before starting the border. It’s a reversible stitch so it doesn’t matter if you have 1-2 rows les or more or if it’s smaller or bigger
