I love that I'm unlearning bad & lazy teaching. Not that everything else sucks, but being raised on prosperity gospel and teachers/preachers demanding that you bring 500 friends in by next week (or you are a bad person) made it really hard & discouraging. I didn't even know I wasn't saved. Just constant "Do, do, do. Do more, you aren't trying hard enough. Not good enough!" And wondering what I needed to offer to make abuse stop, and all the other bad things in life. I knew God was always there, but I had heavy handed taskmasters who weren't interested in actually helping me in any area of life☹️ Just being forced thru life with no real instruction. So, thank you. A million times thank you, and praise God for the work you let Him do thru you🙏😭💞

Wow! So sorry that you were led in the wrong direction for so long, but the Grace of our Great God has brought you here to find out what he is actually saying. I am so thankful for Pastor Paul and his teaching ministry!

@@wayneshirley9536 I'm so thankful too! It's a testament to God that He hung onto me & didn't let me die or something while I was all confused. He did try to guide me, but I was slowed by my own self, along with being creeped out by weird, fakey people. But God got ahold of me, because He's good😊💝🙏

In my church we don't have a pastor. We have the elders and members of the church assembly preaching the gospel to everyone else. We don't believe by making one person being above anyone else like the Roman catholic church does. That's why I consider to call you preacher Paul in stead of "pastor"
    Wonderful teaching ❤️
    God bless 🙌

The ministry gifts were instituted to build the body to maturity and to the unity of faith. Has the church attained that? If no, all those 5 callings are still fully functional. If the church has already achieved that, then none of the 5 ministry callings are needed.
It's either all is needed or none is needed.
I have really enjoyed your teachings. God bless you, pastor.

Pastor I have been wondering for a while if I even had a gift...thank you so much for pointing out that it isn't always instant like your dear wife who did all sorts for 30 years and is now a teacher ( i hope it doesn't take that long...we are in the last days after all ) I had been a little demoralized by this..many many thanks.

Hi Pastor, I wanted to ask you about Ephesians 4:8-10 in relation to 1 Peter 3:18-20. I agree that the Lord Jesus certainly did not suffer in hell but it appears he did go there to speak to those from Noah's time. Am I reading the scripture properly?

  • @AbbaJoy1

Wait. It's okay for people who aren't ordained pastors to baptize? Do people (in your church or according to your understanding) have to be baptized to be members of your local church? Aren't people baptized "into a local church"?
This is a new thought to me.

    • @PastorPaulLeBoutillier
      @PastorPaulLeBoutillier 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hello. There is not one word in the Bible about being baptized into a church fellowship. People are baptized into Christ. And there is nothing in the Bible about WHO should perform water baptisms. The belief that an ordained pastor is the only one who can baptize people is merely human tradition.

I have heard it is better to teach the word of God to a family unit so they learn as a cohesive family.
To divide them all up among different teachers with different teaching methods...divide the family: youth group, womens group, singles group, mens group, couples group, seniors group...
Does God want his word taught in such a divided way rather than the family unit all together?
When they get home and are together all family members will have been taught in a different way.

If Ephesians 2 is saying that the original foundation is built on these things, how can it be hermetically correct to say 2 of those things are no longer needed but 1 still is? It seems to me either they're all still foundational or they're all not. And since no one would say Jesus is not foundational, then logically at least in English, it seems to read, that they would all still be. Couldn't church planters be the sent ones now? Or would that be an evangelist? Where would they fall in this list? My thoughts on first hearing this without deeper study. I say this respectfully of course and not argumentatively.

The positions are still in use, the titles are not. The closest we have today to an actual biblical "prophet/apostle" would be a traveling evangelist, or a missionary. :) prophets and apostles were used to establish and plant churches, and to lay the groundwork of the message of the Gospel across the nations, and since that specific work has been done, those titles are now.. retired, in a sense. Just like how God raised the judges in the day of Samson, if God needed to establish a church body in a foreign nation, He would raise up and empower a prophet and/or an apostle. Anyone who actually calls themselves an "apostle" or a "prophet" now a days had probably self appointed that title to themselves.. I hope that helped!
