Hi Amanda - on test of controls for automated transactions, what about inspection of security set up of online applications, log in security measures for clients, be it password complexities, second tier security set up to deal with bot login and regular password update. Inspect process for account set up, that is online profile is correctly linked to correct erp account, that at creation all the correct checks are done by managers. Also for observation time posting and reconciliation of reports for online activity and posting to erp or accounts of company, also observe and inspect that orders are using master file data.

Hi Amanda I hope you are fine. Can you kindly guide how to work on addition and deletion of prepayments whilst doing Audit, Like what sort of procedures we do apply , And how its Working Paper looks like.

Hi - prepayments like insurance? The biggest issue is going to be around the proper classification and recognition as prepaid assets. Unfortunately I don’t have any working paper samples - but you’ll likely be rolling over the prior year work papers - so they can act as a guide 😉
Do you guys have any project ideas for performing substantive testing with python? Like, what should be a great project with python where excel is limited?
Oooh - this is a great question but one I don’t know the answer to! I know some firms are doing more detailed analytics with python and alteryx
so basically a minimum 4 journal entries for every sales, sigh!!! Thanks for tip.
There should be - if you have a delay between sale and customer taking ownership. Many systems have just 1 entry, and then make adjustments at end of year for transactions identified by the auditor.
