Well as its a high pressure, and the beaches arent fishing very well, I decided to visit the river Bure where I used to fish for eels over 30 years ago.
This one filled me with a bit of nostalgia beany , Used to fish for eels and flounders all along there as a nipper all the time , candles in jam jars when it got dark , used garden worms and dug blood worms in the leaf mould at the old grave yard , used to get plenty of eels
Don't wish your life away mate I retire next year and I moved to Somerset 10 years ago and the last 10 years has gone so quick good watch as always keep the video's coming its much appreciated
They say change is as good as a rest, shame nothing caught but you tried, about 15 years ago we fished a lot further up and caught 2 flounders and a dab plus river bream and my wife caught a 2 lb perch, I don't take her anymore.! A couple of years ago a bloke told me he caught a few edible size whiting but we always got a lot of eels on the rivers, you were allowed to take them then. Most were boot laces but now and again one of about a pound would be caught for tea, my best was 3 lb up the R. Ant, did you eat yours? take care mate, thanks for the vid, Norfolk Ray
I didnt like eels, I put most of them back, or gave the to my nan. She used to jelly them. Its funny how fish will cross over the brackish areas, as flounders and bass have been caught well up river.
That brought back some happy memories James, I used to fish a little further round behind the old crisp factory, the guys used to throw us kids some packs of broken crisps 😂. Up on the bend by Bure park used to be good for mullet. We also used good old lob worms for Flounders and cracking eels. There were Bass caught up there last summer mate.
I’ve fished a bit further down opposite Asda by the self storage place next to the foot bridge. I fished there 4 times in total and only ever had 1 whiting and the misses had 1 dog fish on our first session there. When it’s really windy there’s loads of shelter there and it’s easy to fish out of the car. It’s just a shame the fishing is so poor.
my kind off fishing chilled and relaxed ,i trmember fishing felixstowe beach one evening not a bit for 2 hrs i got a sandwich out and a coffee and rod went beserk, iwas in such a ruah to get to me rod i broke me flask and camping chair for a bloody whiting
Its Nice to get back to basis good vlog!!

What size floating trout pellets do you use for the mullet?

Have cast a few lures around there and Bure park for the bass, but same result as you. Nice way to spend an afternoon though.

I think at the right times there is plenty of bass along the stretch, its just getting the timing right
Why did you go, it's high pressure 😂😂
Something a bit different, like you Bob
Should’ve got the pan out and had egg and bacon.
I have got a couple of stoves from carp fishing days!

Hahahha Sod’s Law. Like the old match anglers and the empty flask luck trick!
