I come back to this video every couple of months. Whenever i feel homesick this video takes me back to my childhood. It feels like i’m 15 years old walking around town with my best friends again. Even though Highlands has changed so much it will always feel like home to me. peace and love, peace and love

Hi Timothy! This is an excellent walk and talk video of Highlands, NC, which, as you know, is one of my favorite places! The music on the video was very nice, too. When you walked past the Old Edwards Inn and turned right on Main Street, all of those building all the way down to that yellow church is a part of the Old Edward Inn complex, which includes luxury upscale lodging, upscale restaurants/bars and specialty shops, a fabulous spa, etc., etc. Old Edwards Inn is the largest hotelier in Highlands and extends for several blocks in downtown Highlands behind those buildings you saw on Main Street, with another upscale lodging complex, Half-Mile Farm, on the edge of town. You know I enjoyed this video, and I thank you so much for making it. Please continue to be and stay safe out there, Timothy. GOD bless!

Hi! I've been watching your videos for a few months. Just wanted to say I appreciate them. I'm hoping to move my family from Texas to western NC in a couple years. These tours are so helpful. And, your voice and slight accent sound just like my Dad and Grandpa. Feels like walking around with family. :)

Mega money. Highlands and Cashiers have been second home communities for southern wealthy families for many decades. Some properties stay in the family for generations.

I have a few, but Hayesville is my favorite in Western, NC
What happened to Mitchell's lodge
I did not film Mitchell’s Lodge because I was focusing on the town center.
If you are asking if something happened to it. I am clueless and would like to know as well.
