As a Link cable user, I've been happily using the Kuject Design signal / charging cable which has the connection point for the charge cable about 2 feet from the PC USB end. I think I like that better than having both the charge cable and the Link cable having to come to the inerface on the side of the headset. Thanks for the info on the facial interface. If I start making longer flights it may be a go-to.
Just got the AMVR facial interface in yesterday. It improves comfort a good bit. The ventilation helps. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a prominent snoz. Its a bit tight around the nose. Its also a bit pricey for what it is, but there is no competition right now.
How is this possible? The power draw rate is faster that the charge rate. I tried the same thing but It just made it loose battery at a slightly slower rate
A few years ago, I got a Vive Cosmos VR setup. I have found that I no longer use it for flight simulator. This Quest 3 headset addresses one of my pet peeves, which is that it is wireless - I HATE having the darn cable attached to my current headset. I also found that I got hot wearing it after 20 or 30 minutes and start sweating under the mask. Finally, I experienced so much eyestrain with the Cosmos that after 45 minutes to an hour, my eyes got so tired I didn't enjoy it any more. I then purchased a set of prescription lenses for it (as I wear glasses) thinking it would help with the eyestrain issue, but it didn't. So, my $800 headset has been sitting in a drawer for the past 2 years. Any suggestions to address the eyestrain issue, or is the quest actually better because of FOV or anything? Thanks for this video. (RedRuffinsore)
The Cosmos was never a significant headset. If you’ve got a 4080/4090 GPU then the Quest 3 will offer a different and improved experience. Prescription lenses are what I use as well. A blue light and anti glare filter coating on the lens made a difference for me.
can you do me a favour can you see if it will power and work with a external HDD ? i use moon app on quest 2 to watch 3d films. trying to find a way to charge and use a HDD at the same time.
Don't underestimate the resolution, it has better clarity than any other headset in its category due to the pancake lenses, edge to edge clarity and is not a million miles away from the likes of the Aero etc.
Come one META!! Update the Quest 3 for the sake of being a desireable product with some quality! SMH THree hour VR ability? Sounds like a divorce kit to a woman lol
*** NOTE Following updates the KKCOBVR unit is no longer compatible with the Q3 ***
Is there another simular device that can achieve this?
Superb Mark - where would we be without you!
Possibly a little richer? 😂

This awesome thank you so much
The Binbok T3 battery strap with dual replaceable 8,000mAh batteries works quite well for me with the Quest 3.

cant you remove the nose piece ?
@Johnny_Thunder the light blocker, yes, but the overall design is narrower around the nose. I unexpectedly didn't mind the light blocker at all.
I leave my plugged into the ac adapter with a long link cable. Unlimited battery using virtual desktop.

Kkcobvr a2 is not compatible with quest 3 !

How is the audio with the battery head strap? I'm using a moded DAS right now.
Can the battery and headset be charged through the charging port at back. So not having to keep removing the usb from the side of headset?
I believe so, (not tried it) but the recharge rate is lower than the power draw rate.

I am not aware of any option to do this in stand alone mode.
Mark hedet after all upgrade cost 700 pound to much for low resolution 😮😮
