Holy Cow! This is Shatzie the Butcher, on my block and just popped up on my feed!! I may have been there for this, but I also saw them where Ari Hoenig was on drums and it was just a trio. I have a video of the same tune! Unfortunately, the burger side of the business closed but the butcher is our Go To. I really miss the restaurant though. Oz lives nearby and probably also gets his meat here. LOL
I guess there must always be some people who think Jimi's own version(s) are not to be tampered with. They'll never let anyone get away with it who neverthless dares to do so, no matter how good he or she actually is at it. These people will most likely give a thumbs down... That said, Oz's version certainly shows both respect and originality (as could be expected). He's a master in his own right.
Let’s not overlook that they’re playing in a small room in NY. Playing very quietly. Given those parameters I’d say they all kicked butt. I’d bet the thumbs down people could never match that!
The best musicians are playing in the corner of coffee shops while nobody is noticing
One reason why nobody is listening is technically impressing but emotionally flat music.
@@karlschmied6218 I bet you’re fun at parties
@@karlschmied6218 You can just say it's not your cup of tea and pretend to not be an asshole
Clearly no understanding of capitalism.
I always love Oz's phrasing.....So unexpected.

Beautiful. And who on earth would give this a thumbs down?

Best version ever!!!!!
Sean Rickman is amazing - check out his work with Shawn Lane
So stoked someone posted this, he really accentuated Shawn's melodies. My personal favorite they played together is "Get You Back".

Do you have tips on soloing over this tune? Apart from using em pentatonic/blues scale. Also. What to use for the F major chord?
Thanks a lot dude, I'll give it a go!:)
I've finally got it down!!
Next task, figuring that lick at around 0:55. Best lick ever!
D
I would play chord tones and chromatics over the F
