@busterhyman6633 You and I are on the SAME wavelength! People forget that in 2022 Ohio State played the Ichigan game and the CFP against Georgia WITHOUT WR Jaxon Smith-Ngiba, and RB's TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams! If those guys play, we are having a completely different conversation. Ichigan HAS to cheat the game to win, so NO respect for HC Harbaugh; and that program that will collapse VERY soon because its not built on integrity, but LIES. CJ Stroud's scramble to the 31 yard line put the Buckeyes in prime position to win against Georgia! HC Ryan Day SQUANDERED 3 plays and 2 timeouts and FAILED to get 10-15 yards to put K Noah Ruggles into a makeable 34-45 yard FG range! I'm STILL pissed because Day's "play not to lose" conservative play calling on that final drive COST the Ohio State Buckeyes a national championship in 2022, even with those injuries. Even without Marvin Harrison, Jr. on that final drive (BTW that was targeting in the end zone and should have been 1st & goal Ohio State at the 1 yard line to go up 42-24 instead of the FG to make it 38-24, going into the 4th qtr.), Georgia was having trouble tracking the Buckeyes receivers ALL game. HC Ryan Day should have keep his foot on the gas and gotten those much needed 10-15 yards to put Ruggles into an easy game winning FG situation. Lesson learned? BUT no, HC Ryan Day did it AGAIN in this year's Ichigan game, running off 31 seconds with a TO to settle for a 52 yard FG with a kid whose longest made kick was 47 yards??? Would a made FG at the end of the half made the scenarios entirely different in the 2nd half in that gut-wrenching 30-24 loss? HC Ryan Day has got to be better calling plays and making critical in-game decisions, and hopefully he does. BUT the QB Kyle McChord was the weak link ALL year and it caught up with the Bucks in the game of the year. RB TreVeyon Henderson needed to get more carries as opposed to reliance upon McChord who gave Ichigan 7 free points on the INT when the DB jumped the slant. That said, the kid DID bounce back nicely and gave the Buckeyes a chance to win, so I'm NOT going to blame it all on Kyle McChord. BUT he did make the worst, HORRIBLE, inexplicable decision to throw the ball up for grabs and the INT with his checkdown RB Henderson WIDE OPEN in the flat at Ichigan's 37 yard line with enough time to finish that game-winning TD drive. DAMMIT! Perhaps Marvin Harrison, Jr. sticks around to play with the incoming freshman WR Jeremiah Smith, along with returning WR's Emeka Egbuka, Carnell Tate, and Brandon Inniss, plus QB Air Noland. AND perhaps the Bucks land Duke's QB Riley Leonard in the transfer portal (afterall Ryan Day IS a QB's coach). Our honor defend my friend, fight to the end for O-HI-O, let's GO BUCKS!

Harrison WAS NOT open! EVEN if that pass were completed at the 20 yard line, NO WAY that's going for a TD, and there's NO WAY that pass even gets completed with that type of coverage. I feel like Kyle would be better somewhere else. The Pressure at Ohio state is just extremely high and I feel like Kyle has a great arm but is just a little too weak mentally to be QB1 at Ohio State.
I knew from game #1 vs indiana inside the 15 yard line, when he tried to scramble and it looked like he was wearing concrete boots, and he had a clear path to the end zone had he ran left or right, but he decided to run straight into the back of an osu linemen who was blocking a defender and mccord just fell down. I knew then it would be a long season of ups and downs with this kid. BUT WHEN HE REFERRED TO THE MICHIGAN GAME as "just another football game" I wanted him GONE!

Dude. You’re literally reposting the same response to everything. McCord, indeed, was a big part of the issue. The offense lagged a lot in games, especially the first half, in large part due to McCord’s inconsistency. Sure, there were other factors at play, but the fact that McCord was not the type of playmaking QB you need to win was a major pitfall for the season.
Kyle is very good friends since High School days with JJ McCarthy and would make an excellent back-up quarterback for JJ -- and could replace JJ after he wins the Heisman in 2024 and goes pro the following year. I don’t want 💩 on McCord too much, but I can’t say I’m sad to see him go either. He was an obvious step down from the recent OSU QBs and just was not a game changer really at all. I’ll take my chances with Air Noland, Brown, Lincoln, or whoever the transfer is tbh. Some people still have a veil over their eyes about McCord, I see.
He was not that dude to make plays and win you the big time games. This was evident from the jump. No amount of development really puts that in you. If people think this is the start of OSU’s downfall, you’re sorely mistaken and way too hopeful of that….

That has little to do with Ryan Day and more on the NIL and transfer portal rules. Bama lost Hurst for Tua. It wouldn't surprise me if Arch leaves Texas if Quinn stays. @busterhyman6633
You and I are on the SAME wavelength!
@@bryanburrage9041Harrison was open. McCord got hit as he was releasing the pass because the right guard stumbled and didn't hold his block. If the guard had held the block it would have probably been a TD throw.
@@RoyJDew NOT true!!! SIMPLY NOT true. Respectfully, either you are blind or you do not know how to watch, study, and break down game film! AND that's okay. The outside receiver at the top of the screen, the X receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr., was running a deep square-in route and was bracketed in zone coverage by THREE defenders: underneath (hook-curl), over the top (post-seam-corner-deep out) and over the middle (any in or crossing route). Harrison WAS NOT open! EVEN if that pass were completed at the 20 yard line, NO WAY that's going for a TD, and there's NO WAY that pass even gets completed with that type of coverage. QB Kyle McChord's proper read with pressure was to check down to the RB in the flat, its the safe throw for 5-7 yards and possibly gets out of bounds. WHOEVER hightlighted your reply is ABSLOUTELY delusional. But, respectively dude, we just have to disagree until you study and understand the game film. GO BUCKS!

I really held hope for McCord because cj stroud started slow at first against Minnesota and Oregon but boy. Just really frustrating to watch sometimes.

You seen McCord’s lack of vision and plane talent from game one. Let him go play where the games don’t matter! Like he said
Kyle is very good friends since High School days with JJ McCarthy and would make an excellent back-up quarterback for JJ -- and could replace JJ after he wins the Heisman in 2024 and goes pro the following year.
