The thing with Ardal was that it was never malicious, or a way to boost his own chances. He knew well that all the shit talking in the world wouldn’t make Greg think that his arm was his neck. It was pure mischief for the sake of mischief.
Also from this series on, the teams are PERFECT. S15 has one with dynamic we’ve not seen before, s16 has the most perfect two teams ever that leads to the best task ever, s17 has chaos, s18 has the most adorable team and the most awkward team. Bodes well that you appreciate the team pairings for your reactions.
This is definitely one of the best seasons in the whole show, from the cast to the fact they were allowed to use part of Heathrow Airport as it closed due to Covid You wanted to see someone explode? Just wait till one of the team tasks 😂
One of my fave casts ever. Munya has to be one of my all-time fave contestants too. I didn't know anything about him before TM but his energy and humor just grabbed me and now he's one of my favorite humans.
Huge props for attempting to catch up! Have you thought of doing 2 eps as one video like you did with the kids TM? You are gonna love this series, but let's be honest, each series is pretty top-notch viewing!
So excited, this is one of my all time fav seasons. Also, just came back from London, we did the Taskmaster Experience this morning. It was great fun. Highly recommended. And I come home and get to watch this, all in all great Taskmaster day.
@@AdamfromFWCI Short version: you buy a ticket and get to play Taskmaster. Long version: You can go alone or with a group. I went with three friends and you play in a group of about twelve people. They have a replica of the Taskmaster house and you have to complete five tasks. There are videos of Alex and Greg throughout and an assistant "Little Little Alex Horne" to guide you. The points system is the same as in the show and in the end one person is crowned the winner and gets a prize. It was fabulous and the tasks were fun and challenging. The whole thing is set up in some kind of warehouse. There is a cafe and replicas of things like the caravan, Greg's statue, the dome etc. Linda is also there. There is also a small museum. They have all the pictures that were painted during the show, the typewriter from the opening credits, Jack's Napoleon cut-out and lots more. It is amazing. We spent the whole morning discovering things, taking pictures and talking to other people. The gift shop is also cool. I got a T-Shirt with the red green on the front and "Don't take this away from me" on the back. If I lived in England, I would go as often as I could. We paid 50 pounds per person and it was well worth it. The whole thing is incredibly well organized and you can tell there is a lot of love put into it.
I reckon you’d get a good laugh out of ‘Dara Ó Briain - video games’. I’m not overly familiar with his stand-up, he’s more known for presenting a show called Mock the Week, but I enjoyed this bit and was surprised to find out he’s a gamer. Also, Munya on Off Menu is a must listen (if you haven’t already), I’m pretty sure there’s more Zimbabwe mentions on there too 😂.
if you like videogame reactins to his opening speeches at the videogame bafta awards that he did for many years would be nice, or his apparances on the big fat quiz.
I love this series! Mind you, I love series 13 so much that I started rewatchinig with you and binged the whole thing and then S15. So this time I'll try to watchalong. But I doubt it, it's very bingeable series!
John would have had 5 points if they would have allowed him to bring what he wanted for the prize task. He tells Ed what he was going to bring in the S14E3 podcast review.
@@KatieRuby I tell you what, I'll go listen to it and find out. Edit: turns out it was going to be a suitcase containing a video of a "huge anal prolapse".
@@KatieRuby I can't see my previous reply, sorry if you have to read this a 2nd time. He wanted to bring in a suitcase containing a video of what he called a "huge anal prolapse"
2025 is definitely a good year to get caught up on Taskmaster, as this year it'll be the 10 year anniversary. You could always aim to be caught up going into Series 20 in the autumn, which will then lead straight into Champion of Champions IV.
Munya's confidence in the absence of any real sense is sometimes delightful and sometimes makes you want to pinch the telly As if this holding hands shit would have worked.
I remember hearing (although tried looking it up and haven't seen anything) that just before doing the prerecorded tasks, John's partner had given birth and so he was incredibly sleep deprived.
Justice for Dara, I 1000% saw the turkey. Its face is on the left and body on the right. I still want to see the French film 'Planes' - From the creator of 'Peas'
I would say nobody really loses it in s14 and that’s good cos all 5 of the s15 contestants will argue anything and murder each other for a point 😂 Edit: except the person who didn’t want to win 😂
Sarah Millican is always an elite guest on any show. On top of being very funny herself she also lifts everyone else up.
Apart from Greg, who she puts down!

This cast riffs off each other so well. Top 5 season for me.
Yeah you're gonna love them all. And learn a lot about Zimbabwe.
@@Yewtewba munyas random claims about zimbabwe are my favourite moments in the series
You will learn how much of an arrogant prick Munya is, who thinks it’s a flex to get people fired from their job.

Me too. I was too impatient to wait for the reactions!
Same I’m at s17 😂
Munya and John's bromance throughout the season is one to look out for!
Gosh I love this cast. And the tasks. Absolutely one of my favs, I mean series 13-16 are all just FANTASTIC

Wonderful!

I think Sarah Millican is the only contestant Greg doesn’t criticise or ridicule! He had such a respect for her and they riff so well together
It was "Alex wearing a tie" levels of respect
The last truly great series. I hope one day we get back to this level of entertainment on TM
An interracial JLS is still the funniest team self-description to me. It’s just so random and hilarious to imagine them in a boy band together 😂😂
