This is a bit misleading, the Smaldones in Denver were a separate organization than the Pueblo LCN, they were very close allies though, almost indistinguishable. The smaller Pueblo crime family was recognized by the commission as LCN, thats why Coletti attended the infamous Apalachin meeting, and why the Smaldones weren't represented. The Smaldones were more like the Capone Mob pre LCN in Chicago, also the Smaldone Mob was the more powerful of the 2 Colorado Italian Crime families, the Smaldones were bout their business.
