Here’s how I view it. After being on the show since she was like 8, all of the SA stuff coming out, and just her entire family life/way she was raised... she deserves the $300 jacket the show probably paid for and so much more. Good for Jinger 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It surprises me how Jessa has turned out. I really thought she was going to be the "wild child" that broke out and left this lifestyle. She wore a pink dress for her wedding (which I can't believe Jim Bob ever approved) and not "pure" white, there were rumors that she and Ben were getting down and dirty immediately following the ceremony, like at the reception hall or something, and there was a question of whether they "consummated" their relationship before marriage because of the timing of her first child's birth. But she has since turned into another Michelle-esque robot. I wonder if they did some Men in Black flashy thing on her to reset her brain or something because she was too out of control? Or maybe it was just having kids that changed her? She just fell back into the life she was used to? I don't know, I just think it's kind of surprising given the trajectory she seemed to be taking before. Who knows?

Many times you can get unworn items with original price tags attached in thrift and second hand stores. Designer brands too! Who are any of us to judge that choice or splurging on a jacket if she wants?! And Jana is 29! She can dress how she pleases but chooses to dress as she does because she likes it and feels best. It’s her choice as it is others to wear less. Who really cares? I’m sad that so many criticize these people living modest lives and having in tact families promoting their faith. Why does that make them bad? There was a lot of amazing things happening in the 1950’s! I’d almost rather be back there than now with such total opposite in society.

My church provided my pastor with his home for free. He has to pay for utilities, but any major maintenance is paid for by the church. It's been like that for as long as I can remember. Maybe it's a similar situation?

I thought it was sad and selfish that Jinger didn't purchase a dress for her visiting elder sister as a gift and just bought a bunch of clothes for herself. She obviously has a lot of money and could have easily done that small act of kindness for her sister who has no source of income.
I can see JB and M putting on a facade or act for their kids and continue to encourage them to shop at the thrift stores instead of telling their kids the truth about the millions of dollars they have. I really dont watch the show too much anymore. I did years ago, but Jinger was always my favorite of the girls because she was not as conservative. Shes a rebel and I love it! I know their family has religious concerns but I dont think any woman should be treated the way Jim Bob believes. For Pete's sake they are not amish!
I stopped watching a season or two ago. I really was only hate watching. It’s the same for the teen mom shows. The only ‘realty’ show I still watch is 90DF. I don’t foresee ever watching again with the lollipops (🤮) on it again. I do want to read any book that the Dillard’s write though.
Maybe that is her choice. I'm 43, prefer darker colors (I am a fall/winter on the color wheel), and I've never been a fan of tanks or shirts that show a lot of shoulder/chest. I'm also not part of any fundamentalist groups.
I felt like the sister chemistry between Jana and Jinger was non existent. They seemed so awkward together, and not close. Jinger and Jessa seem like the only sisters who are actually FRIENDS.
I love that Jinger is coming out of the way she grew up. I also get tired of hearing Jim Bob and Michelle talking. This show was supposed to be about the kids. And the fact that he did all that to cover up what Josh did is irritating!

What people have to realize is they don't have debt. If you are debt free and live frugally, you will have more money for an occasional splurge. The Duggars have taught their kids the Biblical principles regarding money. The kids probably have more money than we realize because frugality is a lifestyle. I know several millionaires who don't live lavishly . Not everyone who is rich buys everything designer labels and lavish lifestyles.
I don't care for Jim Bob and Michelle being in the show. TLC brought them back. So you know, he that shall not be named. Will probably come back. There are some fans of the show, not me, who think he made a "mistake" and he should come back. Yuck!

It’s all just sad. A 30 year old woman who hasn’t had the chance to choose wether she goes to college, what she wears, where she goes, what she does, and where she lives. It’s nothing but sad. What happens when her parents die and she’s left alone. The tlc money won’t be around forever. What kind of job would she be able to hold with zero training, schooling, or apprenticeship?
Just a quick note...Jana actually did try on the tank top and they showed it on camera. It actually looked super cute on her too! They're both such pretty and sweet natured women. I hope they find their way to freedom and happiness
Not about the Duggar’s - just wanted say I love scarves and have hundreds of them. They never go out of style, can make an outfit and so cozy to wear. I haven’t seen the episode yet but Jinger’s outfit looks like Fall or Winter, not summer in LA. (As you were saying) I wish as I’ve said before that Janna could step through a looking glass to get a glimpse of other worlds. Not looking or asking for her to change but to become a more broadened woman, as should basically all the Duggar children. At least J&J live in LA and do seem to be more open and enjoying the experience living there. Everyone discusses Jana and it would really cool to have a long conversation with her to get to know her. We see all her incredible skills and hard work but who is she underneath and what does she want in life. I think the best thing that could happen would be for Jana to move out on her own. Even if it were 10 min away from the Duggar home.
Nothing wrong with shopping at thrift stores. In Tri-state area, the thrift store prices are pretty much the same as store clearance finds. I don’t buy any clothing for full price. Just because you can afford it doesn’t make it wise...

I imagine Jinger has a lot of clothes. I think having her sister there gave her courage to even shop on Rodeo drive and to buy that jacket. Jinger is known for having the most fashion in the family. I did not love the jacket either. Maybe orange does not look good on Jana. Now I could see her sister Joy Anna wear an orange because she likes those colors. I myself will not wear orange and it has nothing to do with my religion. I just hate the color.
I don't understand how only Jim Bob gets a paycheck for the show. Wouldn't TLC have to give the adult kids their own paycheck? I don't know how TV people get paid, but this doesn't really seem legal. Also...you need to do more Michelle impressions. They are the best and it definitely inspired me to be more joyfully available.

Jana would know her parents would find out what she put on in that store. After all it was going to be on national TV. So had she put something on her parents did not approve she would have paid a price later. Her parents would take the few freedoms she have and make her already miserable life even worse at the hands of her parents
I really dont watch the show too much anymore. I did years ago, but Jinger was always my favorite of the girls because she was not as conservative. Shes a rebel and I love it! I know their family has religious concerns but I dont think any woman should be treated the way Jim Bob believes. For Pete's sake they are not amish!

I stopped watching a season or two ago. I really was only hate watching. It’s the same for the teen mom shows. The only ‘realty’ show I still watch is 90DF. I don’t foresee ever watching again with the lollipops (🤮) on it again. I do want to read any book that the Dillard’s write though.
Maybe that is her choice. I'm 43, prefer darker colors (I am a fall/winter on the color wheel), and I've never been a fan of tanks or shirts that show a lot of shoulder/chest. I'm also not part of any fundamentalist groups.
I felt like the sister chemistry between Jana and Jinger was non existent. They seemed so awkward together, and not close. Jinger and Jessa seem like the only sisters who are actually FRIENDS.
My favorite part of any of your Duggar videos is when you mimic Michelle... voice, facial expression, your spin on what she says... too funny.
I love that Jinger is coming out of the way she grew up. I also get tired of hearing Jim Bob and Michelle talking. This show was supposed to be about the kids. And the fact that he did all that to cover up what Josh did is irritating!

I didn't like clothes at all. I would never buy a $300 jacket but why did the producers of the show feel the need to tell Jim Bob and Michelle about their grown adult daughter spending $300 on a jacket??? So annoying and stupid! I hate that they are back on the show but that whole lets tattle tell on Jinger bit was just stupid. I also love your imitation of Michelle LOL! It is spot on!
I felt like the whole jacket thing was part of the script and probably paid for my the show. Jinger probably did not even get to keep it.

What people have to realize is they don't have debt. If you are debt free and live frugally, you will have more money for an occasional splurge. The Duggars have taught their kids the Biblical principles regarding money. The kids probably have more money than we realize because frugality is a lifestyle. I know several millionaires who don't live lavishly . Not everyone who is rich buys everything designer labels and lavish lifestyles.
I don't care for Jim Bob and Michelle being in the show. TLC brought them back. So you know, he that shall not be named. Will probably come back. There are some fans of the show, not me, who think he made a "mistake" and he should come back. Yuck!
Hopefully the show will end up cancelled if they bring back not gonna name his name! That's DEFINITELY t.v. career suicide to me

It’s all just sad. A 30 year old woman who hasn’t had the chance to choose wether she goes to college, what she wears, where she goes, what she does, and where she lives. It’s nothing but sad. What happens when her parents die and she’s left alone. The tlc money won’t be around forever. What kind of job would she be able to hold with zero training, schooling, or apprenticeship?

Just a quick note...Jana actually did try on the tank top and they showed it on camera. It actually looked super cute on her too! They're both such pretty and sweet natured women. I hope they find their way to freedom and happiness

I have a 23 year old who prefers to shop thrift store. I never took them to the thrift store.
Not about the Duggar’s - just wanted say I love scarves and have hundreds of them. They never go out of style, can make an outfit and so cozy to wear. I haven’t seen the episode yet but Jinger’s outfit looks like Fall or Winter, not summer in LA. (As you were saying) I wish as I’ve said before that Janna could step through a looking glass to get a glimpse of other worlds. Not looking or asking for her to change but to become a more broadened woman, as should basically all the Duggar children. At least J&J live in LA and do seem to be more open and enjoying the experience living there. Everyone discusses Jana and it would really cool to have a long conversation with her to get to know her. We see all her incredible skills and hard work but who is she underneath and what does she want in life. I think the best thing that could happen would be for Jana to move out on her own. Even if it were 10 min away from the Duggar home.
Nothing wrong with shopping at thrift stores. In Tri-state area, the thrift store prices are pretty much the same as store clearance finds. I don’t buy any clothing for full price. Just because you can afford it doesn’t make it wise...

I imagine Jinger has a lot of clothes. I think having her sister there gave her courage to even shop on Rodeo drive and to buy that jacket. Jinger is known for having the most fashion in the family. I did not love the jacket either. Maybe orange does not look good on Jana. Now I could see her sister Joy Anna wear an orange because she likes those colors. I myself will not wear orange and it has nothing to do with my religion. I just hate the color.
The scarf thing might be a part of dressing modestly for them. It provides an extra layer to the chest and hides bra lines n such

I don't understand how only Jim Bob gets a paycheck for the show. Wouldn't TLC have to give the adult kids their own paycheck? I don't know how TV people get paid, but this doesn't really seem legal. Also...you need to do more Michelle impressions. They are the best and it definitely inspired me to be more joyfully available.
