The Tepui formations in Venezuela predominantly consist of Precambrian quartz arenite sandstone, which ascends steeply from the surrounding jungle terrain, which is what I suspect your "tiger rocks" are part of. However, the geological landscape of the country is diverse, exhibiting various formations that vary by region. The rock types are generally categorized into three main classes: granites, gneisses, and schists, which belong to the Archaean basement complex. Additionally, there are two younger stratigraphic series that include sandstones, quartzites, shales, tuffs, and mafic intrusions. These two series are delineated by a major unconformity.
