I make my own herbal compresse ball and instead of steaming them, i soak them in a warm oilbad. But sometimes i also steam the herbal compress balls, but then i use warm massage oil with aroma therapie.
if you use stream maybe enough to use its mean no need oil cause oil will crack from herbs inside , or you can use both ( ball + warm oil). enjoy
