This is the only video I found that shows the right way to put this fan together.

Great video. I'll definitely be referring to this while installing my fan.

Thank you. Your tutorial video was "lifesaving". I didn't know where to start to put those fan blades together and attach the pieces but after watching your video (several times) I got the hang of it and it was so helpful. This is not a fan installation for the faint of heart...it is time consuming and you need plenty of patience. We have to rent a scaffold tomorrow to hang it -- it was too much to do on a step ladder since our ceiling heights are above 16 feet. Thank you again - your video was very concise. :)

Glad to be of assistance, Lisa! Oh my goodness yes, I can't imagine trying to hang the larger sizes using a ladder of any significant height. 😬

@@vfandm Bad News!!! We rented a scaffold today and before we went to hang this fan, I called Quorum and was informed that the fan CAN NOT be mounted with a sloped bracket --- and can only be mounted flush! This sent me into a teary realization that this fan will not work in my great room, because we are mounting on a sloping ceiling beam. I cried...re-grouped-- and had to find something else that would work. I hated to part with this fan because I spent so much time putting it together. Rather than return the fan, I found another room in my house that could accommodate the fan (not ideal....but a consolation which allowed me to keep it). I ended up selecting a the Fanimation Odyn 56". Have you ever done a review on that fan? It seems that this fan can handle a 36 degree slope (which is what we have). The weight of the Quorum Windmill would not have been able to hang with just the slope adapter. Please let me know if you have reviewed the Odyn. Thank you.

Sorry for the delay, Lisa. That's unfortunate, but I'm so glad you found another way to use the fan. I always forget that they don't have a slope kit for the large-scale heavier fans. I have not done anything with the Odyn, but I'm very close with a showroom in Texas that sells them literally all day every day. They love that fan, a lot of people do. Extremely popular. Great performer, great range of finish options, and it should be good to go with the slope in your space. Personally speaking strictly from the visual standpoint, I wouldn't say the Odyn is my favorite within that realm of design. I like some of the varying looks of the same concept from other brands better, but your opinion on the visual is what matters! You absolutely cannot go wrong with a Fanimation product, they make some of my very favorite fans currently on the market. I just did a review for their new Kute fan a couple months back, one of my very top favorite introductions for this year.

Really clear and thorough instructions. Your video is extremely helpful as I'm in the midst of installing this type of fan for the first time. This answered every question I had after assembling most of the fan (a daunting task to be sure!) and will tackle final wiring and installation soon.

Your video helped me decide to purchase a Quorum Windmill fan. I received it Friday and today hooked up the motor to ensure it works properly. I got the remote paired and the motor goes through the DC stutter routine then starts spinning but after a few seconds, it stops itself and then returns to the stutter that is really just a quivering. Any ideas if this is a fatal error? I’m planning to call Quorum tomorrow but I’m curious if you’ve seen this occur.

Don’t know if you called Quorum already. I assume testing the motor you didn’t put the blades on? DC motors will not operate properly without a load. Sounds like what it’d typically do without blades on. If it does that with blades installed, I’d say it’s definitely a defect.

I have the 72" windmill ceiling fan with the cage light fixture. When it powers on the fan and light fixture moves left to right and then works like normal. This wasn't the case in your video. I have a 20+ft ceiling and It's not easy to check if everything is tightened, but I'm pretty sure it is since it works like normal after the initial startup. I'm lost as to what's wrong!

The light fixture should not be moving, I'm not sure if that part is just worded weird, but the rest sounds like typical DC motor stutter upon startup. This video explains a bit: th-cam.com/video/h-lEaxqzc4o/w-d-xo.html
