Furthermore, the elemental mastery 1 namecard has a description along the lines of “Light refracts into many colors, but people stop counting at seven”, with the large gaps between the elements on the card itself,suggesting that all seven elements known currently will not be enough to reverse the refraction into the Light Element (I’ll call it Prismo for prism). Learning of Astro (Star for Abyssal Powers), and potentially Crono and Choro for Time and Space might be needed to attain Prismo.

I think it should be at least 3 additional powers outside the 7 elements. The Khaenri‘ahn power that Dainsleif uses looks dark blue, not purple-black like abyssal power.

Here’s some more lore about the light power, it is actually the primordial element because as we have seen, the primordial one had wings, and we, in the beginning before we were in teyvat, we had the primordial power but then we lost our power in teyvat.

They harden in response of refinement levels
The last time the Traveler encountered Signora, Paimon remarks how they still need to get all 7 elements before they can have a good shot at fighting her. However, Signora is defeated only after obtaining three. The reason? The Traveler only had access to Anemo and Geo at that time. Signora isn't always afflicted with Pyro or Cryo, so Swirl and Crystalize won't take place. With Electro, the Traveler has a basis for those elemental reactions at their control.
In the story, they should only have anemo when they first met signora. Only us player who sneak off to liyue before finishing mondstat story have both geo and anemo which isn’t canonically correct
Canonically Travelers can only wield Anemo during their confrontation with La Signora in Mondstadt.

I remember seeing the dual element thing in Childe’s fight cinematic and I was so hyped because I thought that I could just combine elements like that. Imagine my disappointment lol. It would be so sick to cast an cryo skill, switch to hydro, freeze the enemy, and then switch to my pyro burst.
May the traveler be an extraterestrial being that travels amongst worlds and has the ability to master all elements but they still have the drawing skills of a toddler

after nearly 2 years truly the traveler got the power spike we can clearly see that in arlecchino boss fight
This is pretty much confirmed after the fight with Childe when the Traveler confirms that they are regaining their original power as they unlock more elements

The light element is actually the omni element and the godess of omni element is paimon the primordial one. Omni element symbol appears on paimon's clothes and the card which generates omni element dice has paimon on it

Or maybe, there will be options so that you can place a specific artifact set for each element and save it so that when you switch to that element in battle, it'll automatically switch the artifacts as well. That's the best I can come up with

I accidentally found out yesterday whilst searching up the Primordial goddess of the night, Nyx, that they had a child called Aither or Aether who was light. I feel like I accidentally stumbled across some genshin lore.
Aether in mythology is a bit, weird. It refers to the atmosphere, but is also another element altogether. You might see what I mean with this poem about aether millennia ago:
"Yours are Zeus' lofty dwelling, endless power too;
of the stars, of the sun, and of the moon you claim a share.
O tamer of all, O fire-breather, O life's spark for every creature,
sublime Ether, best cosmic element,
radiant, luminous, starlit offspring,
I call upon you and I beseech you to be temperate and clear."
yeah, aether was believed to be the fifth element which gave life to all things . aether literally means light and many people in the mediaeval times believed it to be real. by mediaeval , i mean early mediaeval period.
All I want in the end of the story is that we could fly with Traveler all over Teyvat and land anywhere we want total freedom.

Also remember when you defeated childe? Theres an option that you can say when childe ask you why your strong. Theres an option "im trying to reform my former power". Along with the other option "i been collecting the power of the 7" and these 2 option are similar. And the opposite twin said that he/she already explored teyvat once so he/she had already collected all of the elements.
Then Genshin players in the future gonna be like “remember when light wasn’t an element in Genshin? Good times” and I’d just feel old 😭

My theory on abyss element is like the pieces on a chess board, white are normal elements while there could be an abyssal counterpart, as show on Dainslef he may wield pyro abyss. (I say this because it's been confirmed that dendro was the last element, but nothing is stopping hoyoverse to create counter parts + light element doesn't have to be a new element but like you said a fusion and pure abyss being the counter part)

You might be right, but i think the traveller is actually the "Pawn" of the game, we dont know the kingpiece yet because MC has not yet "ascended to the throne". Once Paimon guides the MC (pawn piece) to the end of the board by collecting all elements, he can become a "king piece" - even though technically you cant ascend to another king piece.

@@trailblazercombi Oh yeah there’s also that Plot Induced Stupidity moment where the Traveler who previously was unaffected by even Xiao’s corruption and slowly purged it with their presence and also purified a tear drop that according to Lisa (who is the best graduate of Sumeru Academia thus far) has a violent reaction to vision bearers and thus vision bearers can’t touch it, with all that in mind they were passed out from the Archon Residue because apparently anger amplifies it yet before hand they were already bloodlusted and killed all of the Fatui they saw on the spot.
Hydro, Geo, Pyro, Anemo, Cryo, Dendro, and Electro. The Traveller keeps peace throughout all of Teyvat's Nations. That all changed when Khaenri'ah fell. Only the Traveller who can use all 7 Elements can stop the Cataclysm, but when Khaenri'ah needed them the most, The Traveller(Abyss Twin) vanished. Five Hundred years had passed and the newly formed Abyss Order is nearing it's victory against the Nations of Teyvat

I don't know what else will be in Fontaine, but the Narwhal is out if Teyvat... So the progression seems to make sense

It’s canon that the seal on the Traveler’s powers (cast by the unknown goddess) is gradually wearing away. This is why they’re get gradually stronger.

last night i was actually thinking about genshin adding more elements, specifically light and darkness. i even thought about the different elemental reactions.
this is what i came up with:
light + dendro = growth
light + pyro = explode
darkness + dendro = wilt
light + darkness = fade
i came up with more but unfortunately i don't remember them :(
