  • Well this top of the table clash didn't disappoint Shed fans it had everything- Hard running, big hitting, silky skills, aggression, late drama and to top it off a catch up with the North West's most underrated player and Old Sandbachian George Oakey.

Man of the match was Burnage number 7 - It could have been 6,7, or 8 in my opinion as all three were relentless in both attack and defence with constant carries and numerous turnovers.
Waterloos man of the match was their 10 - He dictated play well and scored 2 strong running tries. He was closely followed by their 1 - He constantly made yards or managed to get his hands free for an offload. .
Waterloo seemed to prefer the structured game and played through their phases well whereas Burnage enjoyed the unstructured loose play with their strong ball carriers and flair play!

A great advert for North West Rugby with both teams playing all out attacking Rugby trying to get the victory. A late drop goal by the 'Mancunian Pele' Rhys Evans the decisive score despite Burnage trying their best to throw it away at the death........ Final score Burnage 27 - 25 Waterloo .
    .
Good luck to both teams for the rest of the season - Let's see who ends up top of the log!
