DIY Easy Lightweight Tinted Moisturizer

Summer is here and if you're into makeup heavily, then of course you'll still want some type of foundation.. whether its liquid, cream, or powder. For those who are into foundation, I would suggest a tinted moisturizer; especially if your foundation gives you a very full coverage.
Most store bought tinted moisturizers are very sheer, and depending on the brand--can be very pricey. This is where the D.I.Y comes in. You don't have to go out and spend more money! Just grab your favorite foundation... it can be liquid, powder, or creme to powder..and just mix it with a SPF moisturizer. Focus on the percentage of the SPF in the moisturizer, based on where you'll be going. I would suggest not making the entire bottle into a tinted moisturizer, but to custom make it on a palette or a cd-rom, to fit the application needed for the day. Remember that your skin must breathe, so putting a high SPF moisturizer just to sit around the house, daily, can cause clogging of the pores. SPF creates a barrier to protect your skin from the sun; so wearing a high dosage, just because, can prevent your skin from breathing. :)

you can always add a tab bit more foundation to get the color back if u dooo see a change. i honestly havent experienced it though

i haven't experienced anything as far as color change. play with your moisturizer and foundation to see if your color alters. it shouldnt though. because remember, the lotion does not leave a white cast when you apply it so it should alter the foundation color.

whatever moisturizer you use daily, you should beable to use. :)
the key is broad spectrum, protection from uva and uvb rays. most sunblock only stating spf and the number is only protecting from uva, so make sure to get broad spectrum with a minimum spf of 15.

see, i dont have that problem. i think it depends on the moisturizer. so instead of going out and buying a dark one, try the one you already have..then go from there :)
Just my tip! It may be best to start with a foundation at least one shade darker. Once you begin adding moisturizer the foundation will become lighter, also I use 2 part moisturizer to 1 part foundation.
just measure it... mix in a storage cup.

does your moisturizer leave a white cast on your face when applying? you might get that with the higher spf's. just make a small amount and test it.. then adjust accordingly.

Can you make a tinted moisturizer with lose powder
or you can get a non-comedogenic (doesnt clog pores) sun block.. i have neutrogena spf 100 and it says it doesnt clog pores :)

Do you have any tips to minimize pores? I have finally been able to get rid of alot of my blemishes but my skin gets oily an my pores are bugging me they have been large for months :-( I use witch hazel almost daily...I wash my face 2-3 times a day with biore or a sensitive skin dove bar

How to make with powder?
yea using the back of your hand is easy but i have a bad habit of accidentally swiping my hand against clothing as i walk so i would hate to left over residue to get on my clothing...of course washing your hands should fix it but u just never know. lmfao

xD spf doesnt work like that... its not gonna be 30 spf just cause theyre both 15... try looking it up
