I've seen some similar yet newer versions of those system boards on Aliexpress for around $188 to $300. The cheapest has a 4300U Ryzen with the most expensive being a 7730U Ryzen. They also have duel SODIMM Slots too. just replace that weak Celeron board with even the 4300U, and you'll net a way better emulation performance.
IT LOOKS BADASS AND MAY BE A FUN PROJECT FOR SOME TO UPGRADE, BUT THE PRICE POINT FOR ME ITS A WIN, RETRO GAMING CAN GET PRETTY EXPENSIVE. I USED IT TO BUILD AN ARCADE MACHINE THAT THE FAMILY CAN USE WHEN VISITING. THANK YOU WICKED GAMER!
@@WickedGamerCollector Well it's more powerfull than the ARM crap they were putting on it before. Probably more power hungry also. With an 500gb SSD it wouldn't have been a bad system I think if it stays under 100 dollar
The $65 price is great for someone who wants to emulate up to PS1 and Dreamcast, wants 2 controllers, and don't want to set up a Batocera image and download a lot of ROMs for whatever reason. It isn't for me, and the price show on my country for around $90.
Wait for sales ... prices drop and slap on some coupons to. They go all crazy with the last sale buying this for $65,- and we pay'd 21% also tax as EU member to. In other words .. how much do they cost to make them 😅
I have been messing with an i5-2000 series, 4 GB Ram, integrated intel graphics. I have gotten gamecube and ps2 games to run....run. Well, gamecube actually worked well at native res. No upscalling! But PSP can do like 3-4 times, which gets you to 1080p. All this with Batocera. I just got Killer Instinct running in Mame. I can't tell if it runs like ass or I'm truly awful at the game (we know it's the latter). All this to say, yeah...for $65 you can get every game up to PS2 to run. For the haters, this is where you get 12k game drives from. 5 clones from every region ever up to PS2, means insane emulation power...12k games. You aren't getting PS2 upscaled for $50.
yeah thats the only gripe i have. oh its psp. i upscaled it to 4k. why? you dont need to upscale that shit to 4k. i have a 35 euro one. the pi 3 B and it runs n64 with a cooling fan fine.
a raspberry is also great if u want a device that not only runs emus but also can watch nonstop twitch or youtube for low power. i run mine mounted to a monitor. and when games take to long to load/que or whatever i can just switch over to gba. and play some pokemon while i wait for my team to ready up lol. and the one i had for awhile was a raspberri pi 3 B and it decently ran n64 i did have to mount a fan up to it. cuz it kept hitting high temps and shut off once.
What might be a good test is replacing the HDD with an SATA SSD (with a copy of the original HDD on it or with a new batocera install with only the roms and bios directory copied) That should make the loading a lot faster. (But of course doesn't matter for the emulation itself)
Maybe they're reusing old compute modules from like... a server rack or somesuch?? I' remeber watching anLGR video about a similarly shaped 486 motherboard that was used in a factory.
Yes, all the time main problem is those chinees keep making new cool things. So problem is I get lost in the jungle. When done with the vids ... let me see to make a The Best series 😅
also holy crap i have the same monitor XD its mounted to the wall with this big arm thing. and on the backside i just put in zipties and slid in my raspberry pie that way. then hooked up a logitech wireless mouse keyboard combo. and a bluetooth snes controller.

He never turns off the game bezels LOL. Die Hard Arcade probably would have ran much better.

Happy Holidays!!!
Yeah its insane spending 65 on an old celeron potato when you have cheaper superior solutions.
Seems to be faster than the pitato 5?
I think they haves warehouse full of these old board for 4usd so they slap some parts together this way.

Insane Emulation Power???
For the 65usd .... yup.
Only ... let's keep it real with.
Some Great Retro Emulation Value?
I would change the so-dimm to 8Gb and change the HDD to 2TB M.2, and maybe add a Noctua quiet fan.
Yeah that would be an upgrade.
Or just get a HP mini pc 😅
@@WickedGamerCollector Ive got some loose parts so no extra money spent. I do love my S7FE tablet for my retro game play.

Yeah those really old intel things are cool but the GPU it's not powerful to do good upscaling.
That is why start to like AMD Ryzen zo much more now.
Where's the insane emulation power? Most of the games you showed work awfully...
That's called "clickbait"!
thanks for saving me 27 minutes.

Did this computer have a PCIE slot for GPU🤔
That microswitch is the on off switch they did not add to outside of the thing had to dremel plastic to add my own swtich

I wonder...If we had some more extra RAM, would it increase the performance?
I think we limit ourself with the single channel.
And the oldschool duo core cpu.
For upscaling we need better GPU.
@@WickedGamerCollector Makes Sense. And do you think we can substitute the CPU itself? Alongside with the GPU of course.
You ever think about doing "best of" at the end of the year? Would love to see what your recommendations are.

So, its a no if you want to emulate consoles from early 2000 and after 2006 but if you born in 1980 and played until 1999 then is ok
also holy crap i have the same monitor XD

Xbox 360 joypad works fine.wii proper games no good without that controller
i really like the super consoles. Too bad saturn has such big problems
Wicked PC time
Enough with the clickbait titles 🤦🏻♂️
thats why i finally unsubbed

Yes 100% right! There ist no insane Emulation Power!
Correct 👍
Unsubscribing is not a bad idea.
For 65$ i have i5 6gen
Yeah, used marked is overkill so we can find all kinds of models.
