Glad to see Picadilly back again. I ventured down from Glasgow to Manchester last month and walking thru the station, I honestly felt like I had been there before. Testament to your modelling of the station so well. 😊
Nice to see you back John, I've missed your regular updates! Love the techniques you've used and the level of detail you've achieved - very realistic looking! All the best, Ian.
Hi John! Great to see the layout again, and good to see progress at Dinting. Can’t believe it has been 6 months since I last saw Piccadilly! 🤔 Look forward to more videos soon 😎🍻👍
Hi, I know! I couldn’t believe it either. I used to go in the room daily, but felt saddened I wasn’t able to do anything at all. Scratch building does take time with all the research finding materials, designing, then actually making. All that’s assuming everything goes well with hitch, lol. I’m back now and thundering through the progress I should have made. Loads done since. Lol
Hi John, good to see you back, it did cross my mind the other day that you might be back as it’s school holiday time again. Good to see Dinting Station taking shape, looking forward to all the updates coming our way, cheers John, John
Thx John, yes it is school hols, but Ill be careful to avoid work that takes all my time. I dont mind a bit of work at home, but nit a complete takeover.
Excellent John you can't beat a bit of Dinting Station. It certainly is coming along. I thought there was an echo, I've not done anything for 6 months lol neither have I for reasons beyond my control. Great to see you back John atb Andy
Hi John. Really pleased that you are back. I was out of it for six months also. Only just put up a video a couple of weeks ago. As usual I enjoyed your work on the layout. See you soon… Steve 👍
Thanks Geoff, Im just so glad I can crack on, been a long time coming. Just so glad Ive finally got time to do it. Ill be looking forward to wha5 you achieve too, especially as youve gone dual gauges.
Good to see you back and I’ve had a couple of months off myself. The new station area looks very good John and I do love that over head view of New Mills too. Cheers Kev
Your New Mills looks brilliant, I instantly recognised it. I worked all over east Manchester, I was a 'relief' guy which basically means I got all the crap shifts at the crap places lol
Hi John, Its great the very time consuming job is done and you can do what you like best, the station is looking well will look forward to seeing it compleated soon as you now have time. I must say reminds me of the station in Hughs Perth Model Railway layout but yours a bit smaller though. I hope you get a way to pay the bills that allows you time to do your hobby. Cheers Robert.
As a matter of interest, why have you modelled Dinning Station rather than sticking with Manchester Piccadilly? Have you moved home to a smaller property?
The question is are you going to do Glossop and Hadfield stations. I do note that you have missed out the other part of the Dinting junction. Dinting station was a triangular junction One line going up to Glossop and the other on to Hadfield. With a line across the back of the station. The Hadfield line used to go on as the Woodhead line but now ends there. Will you at some point be putting in the missing link.
Hi, I’ll explain it at the start of the next video. Need to tidy up then, lol. The upper level has been in the planning for good couple of years, and viewers at the time were able to post suggestions. It was suggested a return loop so trains could go up and back down in one move. It was then, seeing the v shape a couple of people mentioned Dinting, inc a train driver. I researched and discovered they go to Hadfield and Glossop which will be towards the window. One at the front and the other at the back of the layout. There simply isn’t enough space for the third loop, hence an adapted version (must keep space to to stand up I mean) of DINTING, Not forgetting its already on the upper level above the main line, and having bridges over bridges doesn’t look right. Hope you understand where Im coming from.
Hi, Yes I understand about the lack of space. At least Hadfield and Glossop are just single line now and not the busy through station and Glossop's very busy terminus with quite a few sidings. Even Dinting was a much bigger station at one time with goods facilities and an engine shed. It was for quite a few years a railway museum and had the likes of the Blue Peter LNER pacific stored there.
Great to see you back John
Great video John. Welcome back. Look forward to seeing more updates soon. Relax and enjoy. You’ve earned it. Roy.
All looking very good!👍Stephen.
Welcome back! You’ve been missed.
Glad to see Picadilly back again.

Excellent John you can't beat a bit of Dinting Station. It certainly is coming along. I thought there was an echo, I've not done anything for 6 months lol neither have I for reasons beyond my control. Great to see you back John atb Andy
Thanks, lol you are funny. Had you heard of Dinting? Lol. It is good to finally have time to actually make something.
I thought you'd snuffed it!
Good to see you back 'at work' John.
Worth the wait, "Go Dinting!"
What you like? Lol. Hopefully this will be done relatively quickly.
Happy days, it really is good to see you back!
Superb scenics going on there - loved the newspaper and glue technique and the car park area looks so realistic.
regards
Steve
Thank you Steve, so glad you like it.
Hi John. Really pleased that you are back. I was out of it for six months also. Only just put up a video a couple of weeks ago. As usual I enjoyed your work on the layout.

Great to see you back John! Looking forward to following your progress over summer Cheers Geoff
Thanks Geoff, Im just so glad I can crack on, been a long time coming. Just so glad Ive finally got time to do it. Ill be looking forward to wha5 you achieve too, especially as youve gone dual gauges.
@@piccadillymodelrailways thanks John! I feel your pain, but if we weren’t so busy with work we wouldn’t be able to have two layouts 🤣🤣. 😉
Very true
We have been waiting for you brother! Glad you're back on the scene.
Needs must Im afraid. Thank you for your support
additionally, you do not sound as happy and confident as you have previously, are you ok?
Lol, yes of course, this job has only just finished, Im still quite tired
Great to have you back John and looking forward to the clips again as you progress....
Good to see you back and I’ve had a couple of months off myself.

@piccadillymodelrailways Thanks, John.
Hi John - haven't said that for ages !!! Dinting station starting to come to life. I'm sure the layout will now progress at pace if i know you😅.
Thank you and too right, its been a long time coming.
Great to know your back on the scene John…..your making good progress
Looks good John, only yesterday I thought I check to see if you had released any videos & I hadn't been notifed
Thank you, work has been manic, simply no time at all, hopefully now I should make some progress.
Looking great John, really has come to life with the detail on the roads and the greenery etc,
Bless you thanks.
Looks really good. Didn't realize it been that long, Good to hear from you again.😊
Good to see you back John. Dinting station is looking good, but the best thing is that you now have the time to work on it. Stephen
Absolutely, my average weekend has been 3-4 hours, and that included eating time. Simply too tired to do anything creative. So glad it summer hol YAY!
Nice to see you back on air John. It’s looking good so far
Wow! From the opening shot, you're almost done! Cracking job and really does look effective.
Lol, little way to go just yet, few building to scratch build, but bit by bit
Nice. I used to work at Dinting station
I used to work at New Mills Central too, I used to park my car where that land rover is 😂
Ooh blimey, I better make it good then, lol. Hopefully you’ll notice some familiar features in amongst many compromises
Your New Mills looks brilliant, I instantly recognised it. I worked all over east Manchester, I was a 'relief' guy which basically means I got all the crap shifts at the crap places lol

Thanks Robert, the job zapped all my time, just so nice to be able to start building again
As a matter of interest, why have you modelled Dinning Station rather than sticking with Manchester Piccadilly? Have you moved home to a smaller property?
May I suggest you see the whole video. You’ll see MP is still there.
I had a look last night to see if I had been unsubbed from PMR.
Welcome back!

Are you still doing N Gauge? The main line looks like it’s 00!!
YES Dinting station IS N gauge. The layout hasn’t been run for ages, so just wanted to focus on running. Yes the running was OO,
