Carl Emil Pettersson’s life was quite unusual, to put it mildly... are there any people with unusual stories that you'd like to know more about? Let me know your thoughts in a comment!
Can you make a video about Joe Beryle or Red Baron?Amazing video, you are really one of the most underrated history channels on youtube.Keep up the good work👌👍
I hadn’t heard about Joe Beryle. That’s fascinating, thanks for the suggesion! A couple months back I created a video about the Red Baron. Glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Alvar Cabeza de la vaca…. Walked from Florida through Texas to Mexico Chimalpahin of chalco… documented post Spanish conquest Geronimo de Aguilar… stranded in Yucatán Hasekura Tsunenaga… Samarai in colonial Mexico Anyone from Pitcairn island… British governors go on odd retreats
I am one of 7 grand children of Karl Emil Petterson . Six live in Australia and 1 in PNG Our mother , Elsa Maria , was the daughter of Karl Emil & Sindu Petterson.
When I was a little girl growing up in the early 1960's my maternal grandmother (who was not Swedish) used to sing a song to me called "The King of the Cannibal Island." I don't remember much of it now but it had the line "He dined on little boy pie." It was one of my favorites and I asked for it often. I wonder if it was inspired by Carl Pettersson's saga.
Very fascinating video thank you 🙏 6:36 I grew up watching the Pippi Longstocking films with my sisters and I love this connection, I did not know pippi's father was based on this story, really awesome 4/30/24
Never heard of him till I watched this but it was very interesting , love anything that has to do with history that covers many many subjects so I'm never disappointed , that includes military too, thank you !
There's another person called Maria who has also posted a comment under this video saying that she's one of seven grandchildren of Karl and Sindu. Do you know her? Is she your mum?
You should look up the story of Jack Renton. He was a sailor from Orkney ship wrecked on the Island of Malaitia in the Solomon Islands, also among cannibals. Very interesting, there is a book "The White Headhunter". Another non cannibal story is a man from Shetland who set up his own country in the Cocos or Keeling Islands, he was John Clunies-Ross, they controlled the island from 127 to 1978.
Fantastic presentation. Thank you. Possible Topic? How about the Danish author who wrote under the name of Sven Hassel? I read his books in the 70s. I understand that his life and War years were very questionable. I did enjoy the books tho...
