Fab video! I’ve been putting ashes in resin for people for many years now but I think this is an extra special way to do it so thank you!
Going through all your older videos at the moment and loving it 🥰
I was just asked by my nephew if I could make his daughter a pendant from her grandfather's ashes, my brother, and seeing this video I now know that I absolutely can. I'll be making myself one as well. He passed into the next realm 15 yrs ago, I miss him like it was yesterday 😢 thank you for this tutorial Daniel ❤
Someone asked me to make a necklace with their husband's ashes. I felt honored and terrified I would let them down. I didn't want to say no. So I'm here researching. ❤ thank you
I’m sure that you will do a wonderful job hon, I can only imagine what kind of feeling that might have brought about. ❤️

I just got my mam's ashes back today and as a resin crafter, have been asked to make some pendants for my sister and nieces. This has been a great help. So sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss. Your video is amazing.
Thank you 🥰
I'm the 1st to comment! Oh Daniel, this hits me right in the feels. I know your Mum is proud of you and even more so to be a part of such beautiful work.
Thanks Rosemary 😊. She would have definitely worn my items proudly. She loved jewellery 😊. She's definitely watching over me 🥰. Thanks for watching 😊🙏
I would like to second that. What a proud mum she would be.❤️ beautiful urn ⚱️🥰
@@daniel..cooper I’m so glad you are a believer. X I know my mum is looking down on me also.❤️
Thank you Sue 🥰x
Hi Dan. I’m sorry for the loss of your Mum. Today I picked up the cremains of my beautiful 10 year old German shepherd. He was my best friend and whatever word is past devastation, that’s the word that fits my heart and soul. I miss him so badly. His little sisters, my Yorkie and my cat are also in obvious mourning as well. He was their “big bubba”. I’d like to make small hearts to go on their necklaces (collars). These would be way too large. I’ve cried all day. I’ve screamed. I’ve literally thrown a feet stomping tantrum. Thank you for sharing how to do these. Once I calm down, I’ll look into the process. ❤
So sorry to hear of your loss 😔😔😔
Such an amazing idea to keep your loved one super close. Done with so much respect 🙏
Hope your sister loved them
Aw, Dan. I'm so sorry to hear of your Mum's passing. 💗 I wish I'd kept even a lock of my Mom's hair. You handled your Mum's ashes with grace and dignity, and that's so good to see. The pendants turned so nicely. I really like how the ashes were doubly encased in resin, too.
Thanks 😊
Thank you so much for suggesting sand, I’m ordering some now. I definitely don’t want to ruin my mommas ashes❤️
Just beautiful. What a wonderful way to create a lasting memorial for someone. Thank you so much for the tutorial. 🙏💐
Someone asked me to do this with a dear friend and this has helped me. Thanks Dan ❤
Wow, what a lovely way to remember your loved ones. Silver is definitely the right way to go, and I love the background on these pendants, they have a heavenly feel to them. Another lovely job Daniel. Looking forward to next week🥰
Thanks Claire 😊🙏
❤️🌈❤️ Absolutely lovely to have you mum watching you art with us. My mom was an artist and I learned a lot from her so it’s perfect to create and honor her with her ashes. Thank you for yet more inspiration! Hugs.
Thanks Kim 😊🙏. You are very welcome 😊. Hugs back at ya 🤗
Absolutely beautiful both of them ❤️
What a thoughtful way to remember your mum by not that you’d forget but I’m sure you know what I mean anyway before I put my foot in it any further absolutely fantastic video as always!!!
These are stunning I would like to make something similar but with both parents ashes not just for me and my brother not sure he’d wear a necklace but maybe a key ring and also for the grand kids something to remember them by and to know they are together but first I will take your advice and practice with sand to perfect it before moving on to ashes thank you so much take care x
Thank you so much for sharing. I have my baby girls ashes and I was never sure what to do with her ashes, but now I do. ❤
I just lost my mom Jan 31 of this year. I want to do a couple pieces for my kids & maybe the older grandkids. Thank you for sharing your video. Be blessed.
Sorry for your loss 🥺
Thank you! I wire wrap gemstone cabochons to make pendants and came across how to make resin cabs. I wondered if a tutorial like this was available to include my dad’s ashes. So grateful to you for sharing this! I’m sorry to hear you’ve also lost a parent. 🙏🏻
Thank you Lulu 🥰
Hello and thank you from Canada. I've been busy with part one making hearts for my nieces. I found myself talking to my Dad's ashes while creating. My husband said Dad
🥰🥰🥰
My daughter in laws dog just passed. I’m going to make her a heart necklace. Great idea! Love it!

These are beautiful Daniel .. thankyou so much for raking us through the process. I have just been asked to create some pendants for a family so this has really helped. ❤ I am so sorry for your loss xx
Glad this will help 🙏 and thank you.🥰
Oh wow, these are so precious. What a lovely way to remember a loved one and to have them close to your heart and with you always.
Thank you Linda 😊
♥️🕊 beautiful idea loved ones can always be around.
Thank you 😊
Daniel, for people that want to practice this technique, sand isn't the best choice. You can get Bone Meal (A fertilizer) at any garden shop. Cheers!
These are beautiful. Thank you for this tutorial
Thank you for posting this, my mom recently passed away and I was given some of her ashes to do a pendant with for myself this is the best way I have seen it done so far. Great tutorial.
Sorry to hear of your loss.x
@@daniel..cooper thank you.
So beautiful
Thank you so much 😊
Awesome tutorial bud im definitely doing this for my fiancés birthday with her uncles ashes
You've done your mum proud! I love this idea for the sand I've collected from around the world ❤️
🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful and so very special.. just lovely ❤😊
Really beautiful ❤️ I lost my Dad last October and used some of his ashes on the beach in a beach and sea resin piece. I’m sure your Mum and my Dad would be proud to be in our creations. My friend also wanted to have some of my Dads ashes in some hearts which I put on a resin picture frame. My Dad always loved my creativity so I know he will love what I created.
I'm certain he would! I know my mum would also! 🥰. Sorry for your loss.x
@@daniel..cooper And I am sorry for your loss too. Using his ashes has helped with the healing process a bit. 🥰
@@debell343 Ditto 🥰
Very respectfully done. Daniel your a gem and mum would be proud I am sure. My parents were not cremated but I wish I could do the same. Thanks for sharing. Hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
Thank you Sheryl. Sorry for your loss.x
This is such a good idea. Incorporate into the Will immediately kind of good idea. 🥂
Thanks Janine 😊
Lovely tribute for your mom. I lost my mom this year too. She's buried with my dad, but the funeral home offered the option of getting her fingerprint copied onto necklaces for her kids, which I love. Beautiful work!
Thanks Pam. So sorry to hear of your loss. That's a beautiful idea 🥰
SENDING LOTS OF LOVE ❤❤❤❤❤
Im just gonna leave this for you ❤️. Lost for words. Beautiful!
🥰 thanks Jannie 🥰🥰🥰
Hi,
I was so happy to find this video, firstly I searched for it because one of my friends asked me to set their loved ones ashes in resin and at first, I was a little freaked out. Not only because it was ashes but because I didn't want to mess it up, your video helped a lot. The design came out fine, so I went online to see if it was a 'Normal thing and I was so shocked and horrified at the price some places were charging.
I work with UV resin, and none of the materials I used would come close to the cost of some of the pieces. So I went to my local undertakers with an idea, offering a completely free service to set ashes in resin. The cost of funerals is horrific and I could not justify charging people for something that would mean so much to them.....my idea was accepted and I've made over 600 pieces as one families wanted mutipuls....the best bit, when they came to pick up their keepsakes and they asked how much....I told them free.
Wow, that is amazing! Well done 👏 😊😊😊
I've just started watching this video I'm intrigued from the start would consider this for my husband's ashes for my daughter's ❤️ thanks for the brilliant idea
Thank you for inspiration!
What a wonderful heart felt work! Thank you for sharing
Thank you. You're very welcome ☺
I was so happy to find your tutorial on this! I love your videos anyway, but I have some ashes of a loved one that I want to memorialize and was a bit nervous about it-so I was so glad to get this information. Thank you so much!
Very welcome :)
Beautiful!!!
Very nice
What a beautiful way to be able to have a loved one with you.
Being in Australia, the links you use typically say they won't deliver here, but at least I can still get the product names to attempt a local search. Thank you!
Thanks Astra 😊. Sorry about the links, hope you find local supplies 🥰
Daniel, I watched this video not even knowing it was yours. All I was thinking about the whole time was "I wonder if Daniel has seen this!" Lol
I was so enthralled with the video I didn't even recognize your voice 🙄. Anyway, my condolences dear 🤗. I'm getting into memorial pierces & was looking for more ideas (hence the video), I'm going to encorporate this into my piece. It won't be for a human but I think it'll work for what I'm going to do. Thank you so much 🥰
Very welcome 😊😊
How lovely ❤ and how wonderful of you to show us, thank you 💖
Thanks Lindsay, you're very welcome 😊
What a cool idea- thank you for your tutorial. I am very sorry for your loss 💕I have found if you add some white to the resin and ashes mixture it looks like stone when it sets- it's particularly interesting in black as well. 😊 I started out with our dogs ashes - then my daughter's father in law when he passed. Then we lost our son last year and it has brought me so much peace to make things for his friends and loved ones that contain his ashes 💕 oh and so far... I have had bad experiences with UV resin... I don't know if there is a reaction of sorts... But thought I would pass it on.
Beautiful memorial Daniel. ♥️
Thank you maddie 😊😊
Those are really beautiful!
If i can do half as good as you i will rock it. I want to do this with my dogs ashes and fur and for other people❤
So beautiful!! I just loss my dad May 7th. And we just got our urns. That such a sentimental thing to do. Love it!!!!
Thank you and sorry for your loss.x
Dude I'm sorry for your loss but "special guest.. my mum" took me right tf out 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂🤣🤣 she would have laughed hard at that 😂🤣
Het is emotionele video het is wel een stukje van je moeder. 😇
Thank you so much for this video. Today I made this with the ashes of my father. He died on 2 january this year. Next week we bring his ashes to Italy. We bring him home.
Beautiful. What a great keepsake.💕
Thanks Elizabeth 😊
Thanks for the video!
Very welcome 😀 ☺
Beautiful Daniel. Thank you
Thank you, very welcome 😊
Wow so pretty 😍🤩 and such a meaningful keepsake ❤️💕
Thank you 😊
Beautiful, Daniel. I used some of my mom's ashes to make necklaces for her friends, but in my video I used little clear cover lockets. 💙
Thank you 🥰. I haven't heard of those yet.
I just want you to know I followed your tutorial, I did mine with dried flowers instead of ink and it turned out amazing. I practice with sand as you suggested. It came out so lovely I'm in tears. I have the budget for hobbies but was way to scared to send my cats ashes out to someone else to do it. Thank you for giving me the guidance and confidence to do this. Your tutorials are so thorough and amazing. Thank you thank you thank you!
You are so welcome! I'm glad it helped :)
Very nice. I would love to have one of those for my dad’s ashes. 🤩
Thank you 😊. Maybe you can try soon 😊🥰
Sonya dear, my condolences for your loss 😞. If you'd like to reach out to me, I'd like to help you with your dad's memorial piece. Please let me know.
These are gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you 😊. Very welcome 😊
The was beautiful to watch so respectful x❤️
Thanks Dawn 😊
Beautiful!! I’ve just been given some ashes from a friend. I’m going to make a couple of these for friends of mine. Thanks so much for sharing your work Daniel! ❤️
Very welcome Rhonda 😊
This was so useful, thank you. I watched this one a few times and then finally ventured to make my sister a memorial pendant with her late husband's ashes. I set one in resin and another in polymer clay. Have yet to create a bezel for the resin one, but quite pleased with the results. Don't think we can add pics here?
So glad it helped 😊 Sadly not, I have a Discord server you can join 😊 the link is in my bio in my recent video descriptions 😊
❤️ Love it! I’ve done a few commission pieces! Yes treat with respect and love!
Thank you 😊
so so beautiful
Thank you Ela Ness 🥰
awesome - you did your MUM PROUD - she is watching over you
Thanks again Joyce 😊
Exceptionally good tutorial!! First thing, I’d like to send you my warmest hugs & condolences about your mom. I normally watch quietly. I want to tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your beautiful art with her ashes. It’s a topic most are afraid to speak of but it’s so important for many. Thanks 🙏🏽
Shapes.. I suppose any shape inside a shape can happen as long as one is smaller. (I mention it bc we have a situation with 4 daughters and a son who just lost their dad - all younger siblings 17 - 26. He was my ex husband, still a huge loss).
I’m thinking a square within a square or diamond inside a square would be nice too. Of course I would do some practice runs. Maybe cuff links or something. I really like the gold leaf idea too. And maybe on the back side of them all ‘Dad’ and then dome with epoxy. I think after a short time they’ll end up in their jewelry boxes but there’s a lot of sentimental things that stay in those so that’s a nice thing.
On a little different note - did you know that they will give each kid an urn these days? I had no idea. Yah plus a few others like his mom and sister. I had no idea they were doing that now. I don’t know if it’s just when people don’t agree or if it’s something offered. All our kids have a small urn they picked out. Some are getting tattoos with smaller amounts of theirs and then making a little shelf/areas of pics & memories in their rooms. I think that’s kinda cool 😎
Anyways I had no idea how to go about making pendants or something so thanks again!! I’m headed to watch some of your other videos ✌️✌️✌️
Sorry to hear this, no, I had no idea they offered that service. I heard you can mix ashes in with tattoo ink which is incredible. Thank you for your comment and kinds words 🥰🥰
I'm new to resin, my second project was a frog mold and I added my moms ashes. I was super happy with how it turned out. I'm building up to making spheres with ashes and alcohol inks for my 3 Daughters and my Uncle. Have you done a sphere? I don't want the ashes to sink, but I want them to swirl around with the color.
I haven't done a sphere with ashes yet but probably will in the future 🥰
These are beautiful, i made some hearts with ashes and flowers a few months ago and they turned out really beautiful, i lost my soulmate last year so i thought it would be nice to make his 3 sisters and brother some keepsakes. 💚. Daniel do you have a link for those clasps? I have bought many but always to small. Thank you.
Hi, thanks, grab a Digital Vernier Caliper, they help loads with working out sizes 😊😊
Maybe further strain the ashes samples to rid of the bone fragments. I wouldn't use my families ashes in a hobby, but maybe my beloved dog. Nice
Momory.
Yeah. I'm not a big fan of two scoops of Mom in anything!
A lot of people like the idea of being able to wear a piece of their loved one and have it with them. To each their own I guess!
I put my parents in some Christmas decoration made from resin so that they were always part of our celebrations. I’m going to put them in some cabachons for my daughters. And get them set in some 9ct gold mounts
What a lovely idea about the Christmas decorations, I may have to do the same. The gold necklaces will be amazing too 🥰
I've just found your channel and am hooked.
I'm completely thrown by how you have immortalised your mum forever in these beautiful pieces of jewellery. I would love to do this with the ashes of my beloved dogs but like you said in the video, you have to be so careful and I dont feel confident enough to try it myself yet, think I'll try the sand first. Also I wonder if it would work with UV resin as that is what I work with mainly?
I'm so sorry for the loss of your mum but what a lovely way to always have her with you.
Many thanks for sharing this, and all your other videos with us, best wishes from Ireland.
Hi, thank you, yes, definitely practice a few times with sand. I haven't tried any UV resin yet but will be soon 😊. Thank you for your kind words 🙏
Sorry about your loss Daniel.
Thanks Roseann 🥰. Very kind.
Thanks for the video it’s so helpful. I was wondering if you wanted to add some coloured flecks or have the ashes on top of a black background would you do it in layers (allowing the resin to be curing in between each layer)? ❤
Love them😍
Thank you Elaine 😊. Elaine was also my mums name 🥰
Amazing job danial! I want to mix my pawpaws and my uncles ashes together and do something like this for my mom and my aunr and cousins. And then also do something with just their ashes by themselves....i think this will be perfect. Ive done resin in sand before and it turned out good...so i think ill try it...anywhere i can send you photos when i do it??
Beautiful how you done those .
Thank you so much Elaine 🥰
Hi Daniel, i am wondering if you ever make similar pendant for men? What colors you suggesting ? Also how much you will charge for memorial pendant like this?
This is absolutely perfect as I have been asked to do something with ashes, I have never used ashes before. I did try something with sand but it totally went wrong!! After seeing this video now I know why it went wrong!!!
Would you use 2 part resin rather than uv resin? I'm guessing 2 part would be better.
Thank you once again, you explain it perfectly. Could you use glitter or mica powder instead as I don't think I have any metallic alcohol inks. Thank you again 🥰x
Oh my word Daniel, I have just watched another video that someone else did using ashes, I have to say I cried, I didn't like what they did. I love what you did with your mums ashes and yours made absolute sense, you were very very resectful, this other video 😭
This is beautiful I made two hearts in clear resin from my pet cats ashes I was amazed to see each one had its own colour would love to try making into jewellery are the links in here for the pitch bails and chains nit sure if I'm able to send you a picture?
Thank you!!
Very welcome 😀
Hi Daniel, this is so beautiful ❤️ I have seen ads for companies that make these, but never thought I could make one myself! Thank you so much for showing the process and you using your mom’s ashes. It is very difficult losing your mom. I lost my mom 12 years ago. This would be something so special to have and to make it myself 💕 I do have a question for you if you could kindly answer. I have the Jauqard (sp?) metallic alcohol ink set. Would that work for this? I do have the white sinker ink. Thank you again 💖
Hi Kelly, yes, some companies may now hate me for this but I believe anyone can make these simply by themselves after a little practise. As for the inks, go for a few trial runs 😊. I haven't used and Jauqard products yet so sadly cannot advise, so sorry.x
@@daniel..cooper thank you so much for responding to my message 😊 I will practice with sand first like you recommended and the inks I have. I will let you know how it goes!! You are so talented! I am very happy to have found your channel 👍 Thank you again!!
They’re fabulous. I don’t understand how the ink doesn’t go in front of the heart of ashes
Wow...1st to like and to comment!😊
Hi I've never done something like this but my uncle has just passed away and I fell this is such a beautiful idea and he was very special to me. Any tips?
Sorry to hear 🥺 this is the only vid I have done for the moment.
Thank you for this. Have you got a link for the silver pinch bails, please? I’m ordering away but want to make sure I’ve got the right size 😊
This is absolutely amazing🙏🏼🌟 Is there a certain resin used?
Thanks, I used Let's Resin 1:1
This is such a great idea. I cannot thank you enough I cannot wait to try this and do matching earrings hopefully as well. Absolutely beautiful. Can you share with me the link that you use the pigments and the pastel one you showed. Thank you
Thanks, there wasn't a video making that one but it's how to use the pigment pastes, you will just need to merge the 2 tutorials. It's #7 on my channel 😊
👍
Omg I follow you on Tiktok, I sm going into the memorial side of Resin, so will be following you on here to (I am not a stalker 🤪)
Awesome! Thank you!
My sister-in-law would like purple and pink. Have you ever tried adding ink color to the ashes themselves?
I haven't yet, it should work but be careful
