I also wanted to say, and I'm sure others will agree, that you are the only one that has explained the basics in colors and their effects in resin. (Mica powder, alcohol inks, opaque inks, pigment pastes etc.) Also explaining the different whites that are used along with enhancements like silicone oil. I for one appreciate your time and explaining it so well. All your chapters worked out to a tee. Thank you!

Did you say that you top your pieces with UV resin when they shrink a little in the mold??? I just jumped off my couch yelling "game changer!!!!" Why have I never thought of that??? That should be included in those lists for beginners that people put out. You are my hero today!

🤯🤯‼️ Mostly all videos say just sand down the edges that are created by the shrinkedge. But 🤯 this would save alot of time .. plus you don't have to worry about messing up your peice when (if) you have to dome them to bring back the shiny glass look .. or sanding them so they're even only to find its no longer the width you desire or after doming you mess up the other side from over pouring an you attempt to fix it by doming that side... 🤣😂🤦‍♀️ .. im still new to this.. and then it's thicker then desired...
🤯 so much easier and smarter to do it this way‼️

Maybe someone has already mentioned this but, the silicone spray does prevent the silicone from adhering to each other. So, your instinct to use it was spot on! You could repair the indents from the glass cabochons by pouring a shallow layer of silicone into the tray mold. Plastilina clay is also a great base, you can slightly embed the piece you want to mold into the clay to prevent the silicone from getting under it. It’s best to use a pasta maker to roll out the clay so it’s an even depth. Great tutorial! I always enjoy them!

Pressure pots aren't the best for silicone, but vacuum chambers do well for them. There are some TH-cam videos with comparisons. I'm interested in both mold making and resin, so I have both machines. The vacuum chamber will suck out all the air, whereas a pressure pot compresses bubbles to a very tiny size. Others explain better than I can. Beautiful work here! It wouldn't have occurred to me that I could use silicone molds to make molds. The release spray worked a charm!
