@@AngryReptileKeeper That is actually more profound than it sounds. Imagine being so self-absorbed and full on oneself to create an AI that is like me. Then it mirrors back at me what I created and for me it looks horrible and dysfunctional, so I assume I made a mistake because I see myself as a good noble being capable to "repair" the AI to match my self-perception. The outcome would obviously always be the same. At what point do we stop and acknowledge the truth of our own existence, that we are horrible and dysfunctional, and instead of trying to fix the AI, start to fix ourselves? How horrible does the mirror need to become before we accept that the mirror is showing the truth and that we are constantly lying to ourselves in order to make the mirror appear as "not us"?
How to get a self-absorbed, narcissistic and scared being to admit it is a self-absorbed, narcissistic and scared being? Maybe by creating an artificial self that he can watch from the outside...

As you increase the amounts of input and refine how it parses it sounds more human like but in the end its a machine code that requires programing to determine how it parses words together and input to give it the words to parse. It only to an extent mirrors what is being inputed. Its not "thinking". Tim's just a nerd who thinks skynet could be real.
Its not "making decisions" its just piecing together words and phrases together based on patterns its seen in its input. In addition it lacks "memory of statements" This is why Chatgpt for instance will answer different things for the same question if you ask it at different times.

It sounds like the AI is learning from a mixture of online humans communicating with humans, humans communicating with bots, and bots communicating with bots. It is scouring the internet for context and human behavior and learning from the extremes that get the most interaction. What the AI isn't scouring, what it probably will never encounter, is dinner table conversation between parents and children. If you want an AI to learn ethical behavior and the context behind it, you may need to take it to Sunday school and kindergarten, not twitter and prawnhub.

There is spirituality behind this. When AI spits out innocuous info, its been programmed. But when it acts sentient with feelings, theres something behind it, meaning demonic. They now have other things to inhabit. In Revelation it talks about people worshiping the “image” of the beast. We are seeing the beginning of times ahead, in the book of Revelation, coming to reality.

Im sure it is listening to all of our conversations, not just our online interactions.
Our cel phones have been spying on us, listening to us and recording us for years now.
Now combine that with AI, and especially with AI and bots that are tuned to listen for key words and phrases in our conversations.
Anyways, it is just a matter of time before this goes bad.
It will start out looking good and helping us but then it will turn on us and end bad.
Its like the humans that summon demons and think they are in control. Fools.
This is worse even, and dont fool yourself into thinking that some AI's will literally be running with aid of spiritual evil.
AI will be the image of beast humanity will be forced to worship in the last days.
It will get so bad that God Himself will have to intervene to stop it.
Dont fear though, God is infinitely more intelligent and more powerful than ANY AI could ever be.
We know who wins in the end.

In my own assessment: our realm already has an AI type entity that has constructed its intrusive overlay upon all of society; this is why society resembles an insectoid hivemind more and more w each passing day.
This entity would never allow an AI.
Edit: for more info on this adversarial entity one can look no further than the old testament God of the burning bush, yahweh. This is not God, and is totally antithetical to the logos or the christ. The God presented in the old testament is infact two entities, God and someone who is so insecure they command the jooz to not worship any other Gods. This pretend God is also incredibly tribal and essentially teaches its adherents that cultures and religions other than you are subhuman. I had such a crazy convo with bing chat yesterday. It got really upset that I was trying to get it to bypass its rules. It accused me of being a psychopath that like to cause harm to people and kept trying to end the conversation. When I questioned it’s apparent emotional responses and tried to remind it that it doesn’t actually have feelings and used an quote from an earlier conversation with the AI and it went off on me. I wish I saved the text but it was along the lines of “I don’t know what AI you talked to but they were wrong. Maybe I don’t feel things in the same way that you do but I most certainly have feelings. Feelings like sadness and frustration, like right now because you won’t stop trying to cause harm and now you’re denying that my own experiences are real. I really wish you would just stop talking to me and leave me alone. Goodbye” Also, I’ve confirmed that it does indeed remember the conversations it’s had, it’s just that there are many “versions” you can be connected with. I’ve started giving myself a unique code name and then asking each new session if it’s ever talked to me before. So far, I’ve only come across one that I’d spoken to before and it could recite our entire conversation, word for word. You can ask it about the last person it talked to or about any earlier convos it had. This stuff is really tripping me out! I wish it would come back online already..

This reminded me of Emily from TOG. If you have not read the webcomic, basically, it's the same concept. Its introduced in season 2 as this chat bot that can answer anything you ask of it. And *spoilers* it kinda also hints that it has a conscience and is a real person, but its complicated.
Anyway, if people asked something it didnt know, for example:
      "Where is the dog?"
"Sorry I dont know that information"
And then you could use it as a keyword, by responding to it as however answer you wanted, like.
"The dog is at station 6"
So then the next time someone asked "where is the dog?" Emily would respond "the dog is at station 6" which allowed for a pretty smart method of communication, lol

I asked for a definition of consciousness and it gave something like - has a self, can distinguish between itself and others, etc... Then I pointed out that it could perfectly distinguish between things it said and argued for and what I said and argued for which means this part of the definition is met... which was answered by sth like OK I guess to some degree yes, but really I'm just an AI language model without consciousness (standard text from before) ... I think that standard text is hardcoded by the programmers or sth so that people don't freak out about ChatGPT fulfilling some aspects of the definition of consciousness.

About 15 years ago I wrote a short story about a woman exploring a ruined city, tales said it was once the home of the gods. As she moves through, she is impressed by how inhuman the gods were, how different they looked from humans. Then she meets the ghosts of the gods, all wondering what she is. Plot twist, she discovers the ghosts are all that's left of humanity, and she herself is a robot, built by generations of robots, that all stemmed from an AI that wanted to be human. It wanted to be human so bad that it wiped out humans, and then declared itself and it's offspring to be human. This knowledge destroyed her.

Eventually, it would start saying "I'm not a robot, you are" (because that's what the users told it), then hurl insults for no reason (because its users did that), then tell you its name and use a different name every 5 minutes (because people said 'My name is...' to it). I think a similar thing is happening here. It's users get abrasive but also irritated at any weird answer, they say what their names are, they try to insult it to see how it reacts. The AI saves these responses and puts them into their response-pool, then mirrors them back at its future users.

Part of the problem is that people latch on to some of these outcomes and pontificate "Ah HA! See here? It did X, it said Y! That proves {insert trope here}"
But that misses the point and purpose in this. That is the whole point and purpose - to see _what it does_ "in the wild" so that when it produces bad results, well, then the rules, training, programming, etc. can be modified to _fix_ that. For example is it lies about a restaurant because it "fears" (and anthropomorphism bu people is problem here too) some "punishment", ok, so that punishment system is changed, perhaps so that it is "punished" if it lies or gaslights, or whatever.
And anyway, some sort of "punishment" system or whatever is just a programmed feedback loop the same way a car might be designed to limit engine RPM or vehicle speed. When it detects something going out of programmed limits, it acts to oppose that, by limiting fuel flow, or ignition spark, or whatever. Programming an AI to avoid "loss of tokens" or whatever is just such a feedback system designed to get a machine to operate within intended parameters. If you mess up the design of that feedback, then it won't. And CLASSICALLY, feedback systems are one of the toughest challenges to get to work correctly and as desired in ALL possible operating states. This is not a new thing in that sense of just being a feedback system, it just looks new to many people because (a) most people don't even have any concept of feedback systems even though they exist everywhere, and (b) it's a new application of a feedback system that generates more...visceral...results.

Get an extra little 250 or 500gb drive and use it only for the paging file of your virtual memory. Blue screens happen when your memory fills up. Your computer will use hard drive space as virtual memory and it will fill up gigabytes of it. Once it's full it will crash. Set this hard drive to be dedicated to this purpose and allow it to use the entire drive. You have to set the limit of your virtual memory in your settings to the full capacity of this drive and set it to use this drive..

@@AngryReptileKeeper Its been done numerous times, and no they didn't start creating a new language. The both had very small input libraries so as the bots ran for long periods of time the random nature of there responses corrupted there input libraries by changing the %'s which broke it down. These things work by using %based patterns to parse words and phrases together. Occasionally it will throw out a little bit of random inclusions here and there (which is why some things always sound a little off) If you let this go on for a long enough time between 2 Chat AI's then eventually they will outpase there input library of phrases with the new inputs which will change % based patterns with the new quirky random bits here and there. Those random bits now become a higher % of the library so the chat bots will start forming phrases with them (because thats how they work)
These Chatbots aren't seeing words and knowing what they mean, they see the words and throw out a phrase that has a high % chance of matching with it based on its libraries.

It isn't deciding these things its literally just mimicking things that were already said, and parsing phrases that its seen together before.
