Can't believe this was over 20 years ago now. Man it's hard to watch sometimes. They were just hitting their peak. Spring 01 was great. Summer 01 was unreal and Fall 01 had some of my favorite shows of the year in a year full of epic shows. Miss this band and those times.
I thought 2001 was probably when Panic achieved excellence and the best I had ever heard them live. Chris Raybold was mixing them the best I had ever heard and according to the venue they were Playing. Mr Holt was keeping Mike and JB's guitar's perfectly tuned to the upcoming songs. Long gone were the days of waiting for them to do it themselves. Their road crew had become the delivers of the 6 Headed Beast coming to invade cities and deliver chaos in the form of rock.
I saw them there in 2000. I remember I was with friends who went to NCSTATE at that time. It rained like hell. People were playing in the mud out in the grass seats. Sliding down the hill in the mud. Just like Woodstock.
