I retired after teaching elementary art for 33 years. I frequently added cornstarch to tempera paint so the kids could have an impasto experience with palette knives. After decades, the paint is still good on the substrates!

I loved the butterfly, and I agree with you about Prima's wonderful packaging. I use drywall tape and joint tape (adhesive tape with small punched circles) as stencils in my projects--the drywall tape is a favorite of mine for the grid pattern it leaves when stenciled. Glass jar bottoms are fun to ink and transfer, too.

Hi Tiffany, I'm a fan of Keren's, and I LOVE art and recycling! Very much enjoyed your post in the collab. I haven't yet tried art-ing with drywall tape, but I have painted on tarpaper/black roofing paper, thanks to a mentor at my former gallery. They had rolls of it leftover from hurricane recovery construction on multiple sites, played with it, liked the results and offered some to the rest of the group. We had a blast! So I love new use for drywall tape. Just have to get my hands on some. Subscribed, liked and clicked notifications. Now I'm off to Ingrid's video! Happy holidays and lotsa love from Louisiana!

Interesting how you thickened one paint and thinned another! Love all the yummy texture here! Since my brother died, my sister and I have been going through all of his things (he lived with her) and since he was a painter, I have found several spools of drywall tape and many brushes I can alter!
