While other countries are still doing something, our politicians on loneliness - "bhaiyo beheno lonely ho toh chai bechna shuru karo. Bheed apne aap lag jaayegi"
I have experienced loneliness for a decade. It makes you do things you would normally not do. You yearn for human company and warm conversation. It eats away at you.
Reducing hustle culture, Teaching topics like gratitude, life skills, finance, human mind, relationships, sports in a much bigger way beyond basic education from school is the only thing that can actually change this.
It's not a problem unique to South Korea. Almost all major countries have this problem. All the new age movements has created divisions and we abandoned the only force that works.
Loneliness is not associated with factors such as unemployment because a person may be rich but is still lonely. It is not caused by social alienation either because you may be popular or widely acclaimed by the world but still feel miserable. That is because true happiness is when you have found Jesus because apart from him there is no joy.
This I don't understand. . . here in the Philippines, you'll see a lot of people literally owns nothing except the clothes they're wearing, but they're happy. . .
You know what caused this loneliness epidemic that no one wants to admit: social media. It has absolutely destroyed the entire world on a spiritual, mental and emotional scale that people don’t even know what they want to live for anymore. People need to return to the ways of actually being with and valuing one another. Guarantee the world would change overnight if they’d just shut down all platforms
Loneliness doesn't mean having less connections, one can have many connections and still feel lonely. Loneliness is rather connected to not having deep connections, to whom one can share his feelings, lows and highs, without any hesitation of getting mocked or scolded or left behind, mainly non or low demanding and understanding personal connection is what one is searching for, which is impossible in todays date due to capitalism, IMHO.
Nothing will work until they work on the root cause that is "Society". A society which is open to people. A society which believes in togetherness and family bonding. If your family, friends, relatives leave you alone when you are in crisis, no counselling or mentor session will work. We need to learn from other asian and latin countries.
I think be your own is best this is prime time for india to learn how to be alone and make money and don't be dependent on parents they have given up their body weight for you and you need to be out at 21 to do something
USA needs to step up also to fight loneliness. The country should come up with a plan where people can meet other people for social gathering or networking.
Humans now run after vanity and care less for humanity. Some people work 24/7 while others struggle to get a job. I think a world in which many people can work even 2 or 3 days a week and have more time with family is the answer. Most jobs where possible should be in shifts. Universal Basic Income is also part of the solution.
Samsung alone makes over 60 billion a year and theyre only willing to spend 326 million on a " small problem" where 77 percent of the population is lonely and 40 percent is extremely lonely. Well this shows where their priority lies. Am i surprised?... %%@$ NO! Some parts of our country (INDIA) have also started experiencing this. Hope the authorities take note and take some preventive actions in this early stage..
Overpopulation and Underpopulation are both bad for a nation. South Korea suffers from low population whereas India suffers from Overpopulation and poverty as most its population is either lower middle class or poor. Poverty also creates a different kind of loneliness in india which is not normally discussed in the media.

The more we connect online, the more we drift apart in real life.
Wowwwwww...Koreans You Are not Lonely You Are Selfish...I will be your FRIEND all day EVERY day... Just Reach out...
I will even invite you all to My Beautiful Island.
Am I invited too.. 😅👀
@@Caroline-mt3qd ABSOLUTELY anytime...We are all Friends here...we need each other
Calling people selfish and then saying you want to be friends? 🤨 Seems like you could need a crash course in how to make friends, offending someone make them NOT want to be your friend, just saying.
On the upper level itself, I could see SK artists, who are 30+ ,40's are living single and unmarried... what is the taboo here? They can get married, Have children and continue their work, of course you need to balance both, you wont be in the top of the game as before, but something u should compromise...What are they afraid for even after having enough money to live ? Why there is so much negativity about marriage nowadays ?
marriage is not beneficial to women who can earn for themselves. what does a man offer besides money and the burden of his parents?
What a joke funding millions for fighting loneliness, the solution is already known ❤
If social media, DoorDash, video games went away and people were forced to go outside again to interact, loneliness would disappear.
While other countries are still doing something, our politicians on loneliness - "bhaiyo beheno lonely ho toh chai bechna shuru karo. Bheed apne aap lag jaayegi"
Blame their work culture and high beauty standards and also Internet
Come to India. We have Gudkha to overthrow the so called 'loneliness'.
Khaini
I have experienced loneliness for a decade. It makes you do things you would normally not do. You yearn for human company and warm conversation. It eats away at you.
People are toxic, as I've come to realise, even your own family
Reducing hustle culture, Teaching topics like gratitude, life skills, finance, human mind, relationships, sports in a much bigger way beyond basic education from school is the only thing that can actually change this.
First the people should stop discriminating how others look and let them love themselves.
It's not a problem unique to South Korea.
Almost all major countries have this problem.
All the new age movements has created divisions and we abandoned the only force that works.
I honestly love this women am so glued to her page everyday 😅
Loneliness create a lot of anxiety i have been there i know how they feel
Nah 🧘
Simply put, the main reason for modern day loneliness is we treat each other like a transaction. Good for business, not for love.
The US, shouldn't be on this list, they have no reason for loneliness.
Loneliness is not associated with factors such as unemployment because a person may be rich but is still lonely. It is not caused by social alienation either because you may be popular or widely acclaimed by the world but still feel miserable. That is because true happiness is when you have found Jesus because apart from him there is no joy.
Seems like social media is the root cause of everything.
This I don't understand. . . here in the Philippines, you'll see a lot of people literally owns nothing except the clothes they're wearing, but they're happy. . .
To be happy is to be yourself. Doesn't need anybody validation or approval. Doesn't need make up or any product. Just be a human.
If you are lonely I will recommend reading the Word of God for yourself ( Bible ) in there there is peace and joy 🤩
Contentment.... we really need that Spirit. One should be content in Oneself. 🇳🇬 You are always welcome
Palkijee u r one of the Greatest in ur field world over. Hats off to u. Ur presentations r unmissable.
❤😂🎉
Am here for you my South Koreans even tho you are on a lone path you are not alone I'm with ya & I'm in the 🇺🇸
Loneliness doesn't mean having less connections, one can have many connections and still feel lonely.
Loneliness is nothing but lack of freedom, financial and relationship free. You fcking don't have control which sucks
Increase the parks and libraries automatically people come and talk to each other ❤😊
💯
Humans now run after vanity and care less for humanity. Some people work 24/7 while others struggle to get a job. I think a world in which many people can work even 2 or 3 days a week and have more time with family is the answer. Most jobs where possible should be in shifts. Universal Basic Income is also part of the solution.
It's a problem of their mindset, principles, view, their way of thinking, and their culture.
Yes💯🔥 some of us , it act as an opposite when im with people i feel LONELY and when I'm alone 😁 freedom.
Also over focus in academic and wealth standards 😢
Samsung alone makes over 60 billion a year and theyre only willing to spend 326 million on a " small problem" where 77 percent of the population is lonely and 40 percent is extremely lonely. Well this shows where their priority lies.
Am i surprised?... %%@$ NO!
I mean is this not the same country where the pilots were crashing their planes because they were not willing to talk without breaking the korean respect sfatus plane field when it comes to cummunicating with fellow coworkers even at the cost of a plane crash... ugghhhh.
Sometimes i wonder why am i even learning korean as a black male wanting to go there next year. I k ow jaoan has so kany problems but man do i feel way waaay more welcome in jaoan. Soecially tokyo and osaka conderi g i soeak fluent japanese now.
I'm glad we still follows joint family system 🙏
They need to learn how to make friends. Privacy is overrated!
Well this js why religious group's helps to fight against loneliness
Now I realise more the importance of our culture of saying 'Jai Ram Ji ki' or 'Salaam Valekum, Valekum assalam'.
Bogus religions
My fav news channel ❤❤
They built this, all of them! They made women believe money was more important than values, and now... Men have given up! I hope other cultures learn this lesson, that a man's role as a provider isn't necessarily monetary, it's stability.
I love being lonley I don't know why people think loneliness is a bad condition or a mental health condition.
India is also facing same thing but we don't have any loneliness minister.
People, their numbers, behaviour & relationships have changed but society norms & work conditions haven't changed.
u don't need loneliness minister. U need therapist.. there are bunch of thriving communities plus lots of companies were founded to fight against loneliness. ( Don't hate. but IMO , ppl should talk to each other, need more communication skills. also keeping hobbies can make us more happy..
I thought Indians were like some of the most social people. I’d be surprised if they are also starting to suffer from loneliness.
Loneliness is not what we choose... It happens...
I think the most prominent role anything is having in increasing loneliness is of CULTURE. The change in it can make difference.
African are not lonely, we happy over here
as an African they are talking about South Korea not Africa, is it a must to include us in this conversation.
if you wish to go there so bad go stop generalizing Africans.
Loneliness is the future of mankind. get used to it. there is no way back. adapt, don't complain.
In my city Luanda (Angola ) is the opposite, is almost impossible to be lonely here..
Honestly I just wonder how can you be lonely when you are with me? Like I am introverted yes, but I am a whole bunch of fun to be with, I think you guys should make visa applications easier and let civil and sane minded people come in, and watch your citizens boom with joy 😂 🎉
Some parts of our country (INDIA) have also started experiencing this. Hope the authorities take note and take some preventive actions in this early stage..
Africa & Arab countries loneliness is verry low
Wonderful video
Overpopulation and Underpopulation are both bad for a nation. South Korea suffers from low population whereas India suffers from Overpopulation and poverty as most its population is either lower middle class or poor. Poverty also creates a different kind of loneliness in india which is not normally discussed in the media.
Welcome to Philippines and forget loneliness
True....mental health is the most silent epidemec...
Capitalism/Liberalism trying to cure itself from itself throwing money at itself. :))))
Many people bought this idea that money is everything , if you have money you will be happy and you will enjoy life. This is a product of liberalism and secularism
all other countries are Loneliness , India choose to ignore the issue like every other issue
In India , this issue is also increasing gradually
