The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, allows employees to receive gratuity after 5 years of continuous service. However, a rule called the "4 years 240 days rule" allows employees to receive gratuity after 4 years and 240 days of continuous service, even if they haven't completed 5 years
But many low class companies cunningly before completion of the employees gratuity tenure fires the employees or renew their Fix term contract. Govt should do something to prevent the gratuity loss of the employee and should fine such companies. ❤

60620 x1.46x33/2=1460000
Though you have completed 40 years of service, your entire service should have a ceiling of max.33years.
