    At what point do we "contend" for the faith?
    But Offence must surely come!
    It is how we handle it by not seeking revenge that matters!

    We must never demand our daily bread but only ask for our father in heaven knows what we need!

    True kingdom wealth are not found in material things but are real spiritual treasures found in Christ - Mercy, forgiveness, love, long-suffering, perseverance, meekness e.t.c!

      @@ao4514 this thought of yours sound true but ultimately misleading. If you are truly walking in the Spirit, you will not lack material things as you need them. Don’t cheat yourself because by the lack of these many have fallen. They matter even though they are not our pursuit.

      @@atubogeorge7192Which material things did Jesus have during his ministry?
      Please kindly have a read of Christ's messages to the 7 churches especially the church of Smyrna for our God is very consistent!

      @@atubogeorge7192In the Lord's prayer Christ instructed us to ask for our daily bread.
      Our Daily bread Could be described as needs whilst material things are our wants!
      And like you pointed out, if I was truly walking in the spirit, the holy Spirit will always prioritize my spiritual fruits because all the other things shall be added unto me - Mathew 6 v 24-34
      Have you forgotten Christ's teachings in the parable of the sower?

    The message series on offence is timely. The Holy Spirit wouldn't lay it on your heart to share it if we didn't need it now and in days ahead. Thank you sir for following His lead. God bless you.

    The gospel will always be a stone of offence to those who are perishing but to suggest that the Apostles died because they deliberately set out to offend people is completely wrong!

    @ao4514 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    It's not offence that killed John the Baptist . You've missed the context being explored in the scriptures here!

  • @ao4514
    @ao4514 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    To suggest that the Apostles died because of offence simply means Jesus died because of offense!
    I believe you've muddled the water here!
    Please kindly read Christ's message to the 7 churches again!

      @@ao4514 Thank you for taking out time to listen to the message. On the apostle’s death, I believe you must have read Luke 21:17-19 where Jesus promised, even though they will be hated, not a hair of theirs will be lost, but they have to be in charge of their souls. Did the word of God fail? Please take time to listen to the whole series of offense and get a broad picture and may the Lord give you understanding. God bless you.

      @@atubogeorge7192Matthew 10:30 is a parallel passage. Context and the rules of hermeneutics are always key when reading the scriptures.
      Christ was making "declarative statements" in the previous passages and all through this chapter.
      Hence, put your trust in the father's plan in the holy Spirit.
      ***Patience is also one of the fruits of the spirit - He was basically telling them to cultivate patience whilst they waited for the fathers timing on the prophecy he just gave them!
      How then do you reconcile
      Luke 21:17-19 with Matthew 16:27-28 or Mathew 10:30 ?
