Hello again from Western North Carolina! Your videos are so soothing. After a long battle with cancer, I lost my mother on April 14th. Being also on lay off from my job has given me plenty of time for reflection and slowing down. I’m determined to make the most of this time to reset. I pray everyone can find peace during this trying time.

We are choosing small projects, daily chores, a nap, colorful meals (your food rainbow:) and minor goal-setting. Speed has gone by the wayside and consideration of others is in the forefront of our days. It used to be this way long ago. We're back. Thanks so much for your kindness in sharing that green space. It is lovely.
Lovely video! I had cancer surgery a few months ago and went back to work before I should have. I find now that even though I am working at home, I am resting, eating and taking far better care of myself. I was feeling very run down after going back to work and I feel that now I am healing.
Lisa C wonderful news to hear you are healing. I have a friend who is healing too because she was so stressed at work. Blessings and love to you on your special healing journey.

@@jimmiepatrum You're welcome. I only hope I haven't offended! It's so easy to read things wrong on Social Media isn't it. I never knew any of this until I got chatting with a bee enthusiast and he told me so many interesting facts. We must protect our environment any way we can to secure a future for our families. My 20 month old granddaughter Iris lives with us and she loves dandelions. Her perspective and way of seeing the world makes me slow down and appreciate things. We are in Australia and at the moment the wild budgies are eating seeds in our back garden. It is a delight to watch them and then we blow the dandelion puffs. Thank you for such a lovely video.
During this time I have been focusing on getting enough sleep, making a point to drink more water, and sitting outside more. I have noticed a huge change already in my life. Thank you for all you do!
How lovely! It is still very cold here but the sun has been lovely til today, we have rain. Life has been slow, because we care for a mentally challenged man in our home alot of our time is spent with him helping him to understands why his life is different! Warm loving hugs always from Vermont
Today I was inspired by some other TH-cam videos to 1) try to grow potatoes out of the sprouted potatoes in my cupboard and 2) first harvest the dandelions in my garden that grew on the spot where I wanted to plant the potatoes. It feels really great to see you do similar things in this video: it makes me feel connected somehow. I've been really inspired, also by you, to try to get more green hands and gain knowledge about gardening. But your videos also thought me that not everything has to happen at once, so I'm transforming our garden one small corner at the time. Thank you for the inspiration! You seemed like the person who would like to hear such stories back, so I hope I make you a little bit happy in return by telling you about the small steps that I took today. Have a great week!
Lovely video. Thank you. I am sitting in silence each day and letting my mind wander and my emotions come up. I have never gardened before but have started now. Enjoying it. Stay safe.
Still snowing and cold here in Canada. At least where I am. But not snowstorms or anything like that. Spring is desperately trying to reveal herself. It would be lovely to get up over 11 degrees everyday. I can’t believe you are eating outside and planting things. Your outdoor space is exactly what I am planning for myself. This video is beautiful. I love Ireland. I could live there. ☮️💕
We have a few crocus coming through but we wake up to snow still but it's gone by lunch time, I'll be glad when it gets a few degrees warmer, we live in central Ontario.
Thank you so much for this lovely reminder to slow down, nourish yourself and be grateful! I've been trying to spend as much time outside as I can (when it's not pouring rain), reading my favorite book, journaling, taking online classes and also waiting patiently for my seedlings to grow. I've never started my garden from seed before, but I'm trying out this spring. Very hopeful! Many hugs! :D
I'm realizing that the difference in how I handle my days comes from an inner serenity. If I'm not inwardly serene, my days won't be, no matter what my actual day is like. I struggle with that. As a person who has experienced severe trauma as a child and into adulthood, I live in fight or flight mode. I'm trying to remember to breathe and slow my mind down, but it is how I'm wired now and very hard to change. I live on a small holding and live a pretty simple life, but I have huge stressors in my life that I can't change for now. So somehow I am going to have to relearn my perception and change my reactions to the world/ people around me.
I understand what you are talking about! I wish next days, months and years will be the best for you! Keep faith!!! ❤️ (sorry my English is not very good!)
I too can struggle in this way. One of the best books I read that helped with my perception was by Dr Henry Cloud about boundaries, it really helped me to think differently about relationships with people and what I will and won't accept. Wishing you peace and serenity.
Thank you Niamh, perfect timing as always, you have made me feel calm, safe and peaceful. So lovely to hear your voice and see how you are getting on. You have gently reminded me to make better choices of food, especially for my youngest right now....warmest thank you XX
Spring is just waking up here in the Midwest USA. It’s been great getting into the garden and I’m truly thankful to have of outdoor activities to fill the extra time. Take very good care of yourself and your family. Blessings to you.
Beautiful photography! Perception… unique. Growing things takes some patience and trust. Connecting w family and friends. Nourishing the body. Eat the rainbow. Look for new ideas for meals. Hmm.sit in the sun, slowdown and sip tea! Sounds good 😊 Susan
Your videos are always poetic for me. Am happy for you as you are able to absorb the abundance of mother Earth. Love the way you count your blessings. Loads of love and 🐻 hugs from Charu
Very similar here. Enjoying the garden, growing veg and salad, watching nature unfold into the new season and enjoying all the sights, sounds and smells around me.
Your quote about trying to resist "fixing" other people's problems speaks to me. It's so tempting to try but futile! And very frustrating and exhausting to all involved.
This woman's voice is soothing and relaxing, with charm and beauty, and the way she presents the content is worth watching . For that I decided to subscribe😍🙏
Thank you so much for your videos! You always give me so much peace in my heart. Here in Italy we are still in complete lockdown. I spend most of my days exercising in the morning, walking my dogs (I live in the countryside), cooking, taking care of my vegetable garden and writing my Uni assessments. I love staying at home and taking it slowly although I am worried about the economical situation..without any job, it is hard to go on...I try to be positive, I am sure it will be alright soon. Luckily all the nature that surrounds me helps me feeling better.
I am more in touch with my family than I have been for a long time. I am more in touch with nature than I have ever been. As we go to an isolated ancient forest most days. I garden which I have never done. And I have bulit an entire meditation and yoga area out of pallets, driftwood and copper pipes for wind chimes,,,,,,. I know this sounds a lot but it has been done at a very slow pace. With plenty of quiet cups of tea. Gathering wild food has been another great experience. I am very lucky to live in the countryside and have a loving wife and children. I understand this is utterly brutal for many people. But I have been following your channel for sometime. And I for one was feeling lost with modern life. I just don't know what we are trying to achieve. We do not even raise our children anymore. Just rushing from one place to the other. A nd destroying the very planet we depend on. Will and bigger whiter newer car and another Tshirt really give us what we are looking for???? I am scared in some ways. My ten year old son had Corona viru and was very sick. Which was stressful. But have to say the last few weeks have been some of the most fufiling and happiest of my life. And It has cost exactly £0.00. I have been, as many of us have, thrust forward violently and told to figure out what is actually important. And it is none of the things we have been told\sold My stupid cars are covered in dust as we walk and cycle everywhere now. I wear the same few simple clothes everyday and eat simple healthy food and meditate everyday. One thing I do appreciate is the internet. Though we did not have any internet from the 1st of April till now, and it was actually very eye opening. It is a wonderful resource but must be used with care Thankyou for all the great videos you post
You always inspire me with your videos and help me calm down. I am a college student and working and studying only from home without seeing my friends is very hard for me. Before corona time I had broken my foot so I haven't seen my people since December. Your videos remind me that, instead of being sad about the social distance, I can just look out the open window and sit in the garden connecting to nature. It makes me focus on what is there, not on what us not. Thanks for that!
you got the secret! well done... I wish I had your wisdom when I was your age. Remember its ok to feel sad and miss your friends... it's just that all you can control is your actions so it makes life easy to do things we can do instead of focusing on what we can't
Australia is in stay-at-home and essential shopping only. Now really is a good time to do what you can to take care of family and self. I do hand embroidery, read, garden, art, craft, and occasionally watch butterflies :) when I'm not doing essential caring. Your videos are so calming, thanks for sharing.
That salad looked yummy. I do like how there are so many healthy eating recipes online now and I've found so many I can't wait to try as my mission is to try and eat a healthier diet. One of my ways I like to relax is watching youtube videos! And also when I have time is also reading. I also want to learn to knit, crochet and embroidery which can be relaxing too. Thanks for sharing.
Having a low energy day today (this whole thing is a real emotional roller coaster haha) but this was very relaxing. Thank you for spreading peace and positivity as always !
You know the best thing of an afternoon like that? That it feels silent. And silence is a beautiful thing for a slow, steady, simple life 💖 I am a very strong empath and silence is my key to have plenty of space to process through the feelings from those far away I absorbed to focus on myself. When I have my journal to write poetry and a cup of tea I am happy! Lastly, I'm hungry 😂
Everything you do is so beautiful. Preparing lunch to eat outside, collecting leaves for your salad. 💜 I’m such a homebody that my routine hasn’t changed much but I miss walking with my neighbor and lunches out once a week. Hope you have a wonderful week Niamh. 🦋
Can not go to the forest, but I just found some dandelions at our backyard and I made an excellent tea out of the leaves and root of dandelios. Love to see the sunshine and it's shadow at your cottage, so relaxing!
I am delighted to see this new video and like you I am also focussing on the present moment, enjoying all this I have, enjoying doing nothing and enjoying the birds sing and see how the trees and plants are blooming. I am also enjoying painting and drawing, there is so much inspiration online and while I listen to music I create and try out all that I am learning. I am very grateful to live where I live and also for all this free time we have for ourselves. Thank you so much for all that you share and I wish you a lovely week ahead ✨🌷🌹🌺🦋🌻
I don't know about anyone else, but with everything slowed down, all the days roll in together. Your videos help to bring direction and positive influence for the week and help me know the week cycle. Thanks as always for creating a calming and positive space. I have also been planting seeds, it is so much fun! I have also been working a few low or no-cost projects that are a day or two long, and I too have been resting and enjoying nature and tea each day.
A lovely, calming video as always. Your garden and home seem very peaceful. I'm now going to make a pot of tea and sit in my little courtyard (which is currently undergoing a makeover!). Hope you and yours stay safe and well x
Becoming grateful for the me time staycation. Finding areas to unclutter and add calm to open up space. Working on paper clutter. Also, organizing wardrobe by color and usage. Painting one gallon of paint at a time to add warmth of color in some areas of the home while enjoying essential oil aromatherapy. Thanks for the nice video. Can you give the recipe for the salad dressing you made in this video? Thank you.
haven't got one... I just throw everything into a bowl... this one I used rocket/arugula greens, quinoa, tomatoes, etc and in the dressing I added tahini, soy, lemon juice, maple syrup, olive oil, salt and pepper..
Thank you for sharing your afternoon with us. I just love how intentional you are with the time you spend. The salad spoons are works of art!! I would love if you would do a house and yard/garden tour one day. I am so inspired by your surroundings. Have a blessed day in your corner of the world! Janelle from western North Carolina
Hi only recently discovered your channel and it's so lovely, like taking a beautiful walk way beyond the 2k allowed radius... I think the knockdown has reached in and pulled out so much creativity in all of us and finding your channel has given me so many things to think about, crafts I thought were only for the nifty people good with a needle. Today I planted beetroot seeds and made flour from quinoa, I just don't know myself 😁 Thank you or you inspiration and the calm way you handle the world.
Love your videos. So peaceful. I live in the state of Georgia....USA. I love seeing some of Ireland through your videos. I don’t like to fly, so it limits my travels. Love the countryside your home is located in.
I have started watching your video and like it so much. It’s just so peaceful love the fact that it not a Chanel to advertise products and adverts. Thank you so much for uploading theses videos.
After 6 weeks at home, not at school, I found out that my anxiety is gradually leaving... I began to feel grace. It's good. Have a wonderful week everyone!!!!
Lovely video and great inspiration for these very strange times. I am enjoying my garden and am a real beginner so I get great joy out of learning what to weed, (my neighbour is a master gardener so I can pick his brains which is wonderful), plant seeds in a tiny little plastic greenhouse and watch them grow, I've made a comfy spot with a chair and an old set of steps that were my nan's as a side table for the essential pots of tea, I've hung some colourful scarfs on my washing line and tied the corner to the shed door so I have a sort of sun shade. I'm very lucky to have ponies and whilst I'm choosing not to play/ride with them to minimise risk of injury for us all, I love watching them eat the grass and I am even enjoying clearing their manure and making piles to turn into lovely compost for the garden for next year. This slowing down has made the circle of life come into focus and enabled us to tune into nature. I am thinking of all those on the frontline and hoping they are taking comfort and solace from the gratitude and support that everyone is sending to them. Take care everyone x
As you asked....my whole family -me, my mom, dad and my younger brother are painting the house completely...its a tiring job but we spend alot of time together and the new look of home....am just loving it...as u said in the vedio...that this time is giving y the time to observe everything..so I do..seeing the process of seeds to become plantlets and then small plants...is just awesome...i'm loving this routine of doing nothing but actually doing lot more valuable things...❤ Loving ur vedios as always... I show ur vedios to my mom....and she just absolutely love them...thanks for adding more calmness in aur lives...! See u next time...❤🙏
Also thank you for your earlier video on composting, was some good info in there. I had not been crushing up the egg shells well enough LOL. That and your other advice was useful and the compost is now helping our new garden to grow :)
I am trying a few of your suggested activities and also the non activities egg just sitting in the sun, drinking tea. Also trying out new recipes a few times a week. It all helps me get through these dull days while waiting for restrictions to lift.
I envy so much with your lifestyle. I wish and always dream of getting out of this crowd and noisy citylife and start a simple and peaceful life in the countryside. Unfortunately I can't afford to have one, though I love nature and simple things. You are so lucky and I thank you for sharing the videos, which for me is like a therapy.
I love your garden. I had to downsize to a flat and I miss my garden so much; I don't even have a window sill to grow things. Being confined to the flat is beginning take it's toll despite going out once a day as i'm used to spending more time outdoors.
I absolutely enjoy your videos..and the most I like is the fact that you live like in the country side..next to forest..trees..you have your own garden...I envy you in a good way...I live in the United states in a apartment and I would literally trade for a house like yours...anyways...I thank you for sharing everything you do..and looking forward to a new video.
Thank you for posting. It has been 16 days of quarantine here. I have started seeds for my garden but still find the days running togther and feeling isolated. You posted this video at a time when it really helped me. 🙂❤
Been doing almost the same as you 😊 Been repotting my cacti and succulents, transplanting baby plants and trying to grow veggies from seeds together with my kids.. Been experimenting with new recipes too as my kids are constantly hungry and I don't want to feed them junk food.. Been also exploring the corners of our village as I walk in the morning for exercise. There are patches of greens in our village and I appreciate it now more than ever. I just wish I could chance upon items like dandelions or other edible plants, that would be such a wonderful bonus! 😊
We are growing pumpkins and butternuts from seeds we harvested from our kitchen scraps. The first pumpkin showed signs of life today after we were just about to give up. Most exciting moment of my life lol
I do believe that the universe knew that I needed a “sign” if you will and then your video pops up. It’s very stressful here atm, my father in law died three weeks ago and then on Friday, my Dear friend died too. Not virus related but they were both very ill for some time. I’m taking comfort in the belief that they’re both back to their happy selves, no diseases, just back with their wives, the love of their lives. My son is Autistic and so he’s struggling because there’s no routine for him. Thank You for the reminder that we must slow down. Thank You for “wrapping your arms around me” in this video. Now they have stopped mowing down the hedgerows during lockdown and the wildflowers are returning, imagine how surprised and happy our insect and bee colonies will be!xx
Your videos are even more relevant now than ever. Thank you.
Warm loving hugs always from Vermont
hugs sent your way... he must find it hard to know what's going on.. you are doing a wonderful job with him x
I love to read the comments about what you are up too! thanks for sharing with me and brightening my day x
@@FairylandCottage
Your are indeed a great youtuber...coz I hardly see any negative comments in the comments section below...you won many hearts.
You r the Best. Niamh
Daniel Abraham I’m just so lucky to have lovely people like yourself watching!
@@FairylandCottage Do you remember me. I often comment on your videos. If u wish u can follow me on Instagram.
This salad must be very tasty. Congratulations ! I loved the decor ...
Many hugs! :D
Love these serenity vidoes! So therapeutic!
(sorry my English is not very good!)
@@yasminenine3979 Thank you!
I too can struggle in this way. One of the best books I read that helped with my perception was by Dr Henry Cloud about boundaries, it really helped me to think differently about relationships with people and what I will and won't accept. Wishing you peace and serenity.
@@melaniebaker2233 I need to read that. Thank you!
Thank you Niamh, perfect timing as always, you have made me feel calm, safe and peaceful. So lovely to hear your voice and see how you are getting on. You have gently reminded me to make better choices of food, especially for my youngest right now....warmest thank you XX
Simone DUTCH thanks Simone! Lots of love to you xxx
I really do embrace the way you live,so simple yet pleasing.
I love to watch your videos each week ,I find them very relaxing thank you from Australia :)
Finding and experimenting with new recipes is how I’ve been finding joy during these times! Lovely video, as always.
That salad looks good. Can you share your recipe pls. Thank you
Spring is just waking up here in the Midwest USA. It’s been great getting into the garden and I’m truly thankful to have of outdoor activities to fill the extra time. Take very good care of yourself and your family. Blessings to you.
I always appreciate the beauty and calm perspective you share. 💕💕
Ah thanks my lovely x
As always, You inspire me and make me feel calm😀🌺thank You😊
Beautiful photography! Perception… unique. Growing things takes some patience and trust. Connecting w family and friends. Nourishing the body. Eat the rainbow. Look for new ideas for meals. Hmm.sit in the sun, slowdown and sip tea!
Sounds good 😊 Susan
Dandelions are good for bees too 😊
Your videos are always poetic for me.
Luckily all the nature that surrounds me helps me feeling better.
the nature will help greatly for staying grounded. It is hard to hear of the change in economical situation.
And it is none of the things we have been told\sold
My stupid cars are covered in dust as we walk and cycle everywhere now. I wear the same few simple clothes everyday and eat simple healthy food and meditate everyday.
One thing I do appreciate is the internet. Though we did not have any internet from the 1st of April till now, and it was actually very eye opening. It is a wonderful resource but must be used with care
Thankyou for all the great videos you post
that is wonderful to hear!
Thank you for letting me visit your world :)
I hope you have a beautiful morning or good afternoon God bless you I hope you have a wonderful day with your family
Thank you. I am also really enjoying the slower pace. Feeling so much gratitude for my home, my community and my online community.
I have been watching your videos to relax every morning. I amstill working from home so it's important to still have a balance.
Your salad looked yummy! You have a beautiful place to just relax, thanks for sharing.
Tammy Leer it was so yummy. We haven’t had sun like that day since this yummy lunch!
Having a low energy day today (this whole thing is a real emotional roller coaster haha) but this was very relaxing. Thank you for spreading peace and positivity as always !
Big hug to you my friend xxx
You know the best thing of an afternoon like that? That it feels silent. And silence is a beautiful thing for a slow, steady, simple life 💖 I am a very strong empath and silence is my key to have plenty of space to process through the feelings from those far away I absorbed to focus on myself. When I have my journal to write poetry and a cup of tea I am happy! Lastly, I'm hungry 😂
Thank you. I’d love to learn more about your greenhouse and your plant projects.
Thank you for the positive messages and optimistic mood!🌸🌺🌹
Everything you do is so beautiful. Preparing lunch to eat outside, collecting leaves for your salad. 💜
I’m such a homebody that my routine hasn’t changed much but I miss walking with my neighbor and lunches out once a week. Hope you have a wonderful week Niamh. 🦋
we are the same here.. but miss the little things similar to you. Have a magic week my friend x
@@FairylandCottage Thanks going to try that dressing for sure!
I just love all of your videos so much. Your life is a beautiful dream come true. Thank you!
Looks like a relaxing day to me.
I just love your home and all the plants. So calming. ❤
I love love love your fairy door at the end of your video. It made me smile.
Thank you for sharing your afternoon with us. I just love how intentional you are with the time you spend. The salad spoons are works of art!! I would love if you would do a house and yard/garden tour one day. I am so inspired by your surroundings.
Have a blessed day in your corner of the world!

I would like to see that to your home is beautiful.
I just think your videos are lovely 😊 So peaceful to watch, thank you 💛

Hi only recently discovered your channel and it's so lovely, like taking a beautiful walk way beyond the 2k allowed radius...
I think the knockdown has reached in and pulled out so much creativity in all of us and finding your channel has given me so many things to think about, crafts I thought were only for the nifty people good with a needle. Today I planted beetroot seeds and made flour from quinoa, I just don't know myself 😁
Thank you or you inspiration and the calm way you handle the world.
Hi Patricia, lovely to have you here! who knows what you are possible of making now ;-)
Love your videos. So peaceful. I live in the state of Georgia....USA. I love seeing some of Ireland through your videos. I don’t like to fly, so it limits my travels. Love the countryside your home is located in.
Thank you for spreading so much peace and positivity 💚
Your videos are always so aesthetically pleasing 💕
Anna H. Thanks Anna. Glad you like 💕
I can’t get enough of your videos! Your place is a wonderland.
Great to hear xxx
Take care everyone x
great to have a master gardener as a neighbour! wonderful to have the ponies... they are wonderful friends x
You are such a beautiful light :) Thank you!
As you asked....my whole family -me, my mom, dad and my younger brother are painting the house completely...its a tiring job but we spend alot of time together and the new look of home....am just loving it...as u said in the vedio...that this time is giving y the time to observe everything..so I do..seeing the process of seeds to become plantlets and then small plants...is just awesome...i'm loving this routine of doing nothing but actually doing lot more valuable things...❤
Loving ur vedios as always...
So relaxing to watch..thank you for this video...this relaxes my mind after reading/studying.
Very peaceful video. Thanks for sharing.
I am trying a few of your suggested activities and also the non activities egg just sitting in the sun, drinking tea. Also trying out new recipes a few times a week. It all helps me get through these dull days while waiting for restrictions to lift.
Your videos really relaxes me. And all the stress is out from my mind. Thank you.
I'm so glad
to hear!
Your videos always make me smile (specially after 5 weeks of lock down!) thank you :)
What a wonderful video!
Thanks Niamh. 💐
I just love your videos so calm and relaxing.Have a Blessed day and stay safe.
I envy so much with your lifestyle. I wish and always dream of getting out of this crowd and noisy citylife and start a simple and peaceful life in the countryside. Unfortunately I can't afford to have one, though I love nature and simple things. You are so lucky and I thank you for sharing the videos, which for me is like a therapy.
kenshi grg I’m sorry to hear. For me here it was much cheaper to live in the countryside than the city.
I love your voice and how you handle our new situation.
Thanks for such a lovely and relaxing video.
I must try this raspberry leaf tea as I have have heaps of raspberry plants.
Thank you for posting. It has been 16 days of quarantine here. I have started seeds for my garden but still find the days running togther and feeling isolated. You posted this video at a time when it really helped me. 🙂❤
Chat to me anytime on instagram if you have it or email (on my about page here) I'm always here for you x
I love dandelions, such a pretty flower. Lovely video!
Dandylions are great for the soil as they break up clay.
Deirdre Clark ah good to know. Thanks.
I adore your sense of calm!! I always feels so relaxed watching your videos! Thank you ❤️
Thanks Shari! x
I get so excited when I see that you uploaded a new video!!! They are so relaxing and inspiring ❤️
Thank you very much. The nature gives us so much. I love it. Thank you 🙏💚
Been doing almost the same as you 😊 Been repotting my cacti and succulents, transplanting baby plants and trying to grow veggies from seeds together with my kids..
YES !!! Do nothing and drink tea ... What a great program 😉 Kisses to you 😘
hehe the best scientific program for happiness ;-)
This is bliss too watch, thank you for sharing 💖
I do believe that the universe knew that I needed a “sign” if you will and then your video pops up. It’s very stressful here atm, my father in law died three weeks ago and then on Friday, my Dear friend died too. Not virus related but they were both very ill for some time. I’m taking comfort in the belief that they’re both back to their happy selves, no diseases, just back with their wives, the love of their lives. My son is Autistic and so he’s struggling because there’s no routine for him. Thank You for the reminder that we must slow down. Thank You for “wrapping your arms around me” in this video. It’s more precious than you’ll ever know. Thank You.xxx
Laura Filby oh Laura I’m sorry for your losses. I’m glad it felt like a warm hug.
Sending you loads of love and blessings from fairyland! Xxx
Thank you again for your relaxing and thoughtful video. My day is full of resting and learning new things 😊
I've been cooking so much!
Also taking time to hike for much needed exercise.
Thanks for your videos. I do enjoy them so.
