I train service dogs so I didn't even think twice when your dad fed Finley off his fork because I do that all the time so I am use to it. then again I eat at barns while playing with horses and parrots (its a fun barn honestly) all the time as well so I don't even want to think about what I have accidently eaten.
Perfect timing...you and your friends catching nice fish followed by dinner with you ...your Dad and watching the kiddos having a good time . I just was at my granddaughters birthday party at the inlaws home . My gosh she just melts my heart and she is so talkative and very smart . Grandpa is going to spoil her for sure . PK

Looks like the water was clear for some good visibility. I might be lazy since i don't scale the fish that i eat, usually just cut the head & fins off, and cut down the left or right side of the spine, if you cook it right, the meat will separate from the skin and fall off the bones, filleting fish makes sense if you are going to deep fry and don't want to worry about bones ( like if you have a bucket of perch ). You can also cut large fish into steaks and fry, grill or broil too.

We took a guy who had never seen a bonita fish before and he thought we had actually caught a "Trophy Fish" because everyone started quoting from the movie Step Brothers. He was pretty disappointed when I finally told him it was actually a trash fish.
