I just saw Nosferatu the other day, it was so good. The look of Orlock didn't bother considering, the look was partially based on Dracula, it was probably the most accurate on screen version we've seen. I agree the movie looked stunning, and Bill Skarsgard was so good. Great list Mandy and Happy New Year!
Nice list, a few of yours are on my top 10. But Smile 2 was WAY better than Smile 1 IMO. I loved it, watched it alone, again with my wife and she loved and looking forward to buying the 4K later this month and watching it again. Top 3 movie for me in 2024.
Great list! Exhuma really took me by surprise and I loved it so much! So many great releases this year... my top spot id for The Substance but that's probably because Nosferatu is not yet out in the UK!

This is a great list. There’s a few on here I haven’t heard of. I haven’t seen Nosferatu yet so my number one movie this year is The Substance. I was blown away by it. I rented it and watched it three times. I’m in my early 50’s so it really hit home for me. It’s just perfection. I did enjoy The First Omen, Late Night With the Devil, Speak no Evil and Longlegs. My sleeper hit was You’ll Never Find Me. What a surprise that was. It’s so tense and the characters were just amazing! Honorable mention is Apt 7A. I may be alone on this one but I thought it was entertaining, not amazing but still worth mentioning. And finally I have to give some love to A Quiet Place Day One. It made me cry . Really good movie. Happy New Year 🎊
@@StephanieHall2672 so many good movies! I mentioned You’ll Never Find Me in a separate video - it was super atmospheric. I also enjoyed Apt 7A, Speak No Evil, and Quiet Place. Such a good year for horror!
Longlegs reminded me of an R rated X files episode. The look, the dreary Pacific Northwest setting the fact that it had FBI agents in the 90’s. Big part of why I loved it so much.
"Longlegs" and "Late Night With The Devil" stood above all the other horror movies to me this year. I loved the direction that Longlegs took. I haven't seen Nosferatu yet, and I'm a huge "Dracula" fan. My wife and I both hated "The Substance." I need to give it another watch, I guess.
You're the first person I've heard mention Exhuma. I'm assuming a lot of people are unaware of this film. I found it fascinating, an entire mythology I knew nothing about. Lisa Frankenstein was fun. I got major Tim Burton vibes from this. Great list Mandy. As always, love your videos.
