Thanks very much. Funnily enough I received the lens today ( what are the odds! ) and have given it a quick test and it’s actually pretty good. I wanted a softer lens with some character to make my mono images look more like film which I think this lens will do. Also it looks amazing on my Sony A7!
Beautiful review. Great test images and videos. I am very tempted by this lens, because its way more compact than my sigma 35mm f1.4 art lens. I will be putting this on my Sigma FPL. But I have also thought that this very affordable, very compact lens would pair very well with the new S9.
Damian, what's your favourite lens for portraits on L-mount cameras? I was thinking about getting Sony along my Fujis, but with the introduction of the S5II I have to consider L-mount alliance :p
I'm still on the journey to find my favourite, but of the ones I own it's the Panasonic 85mm for now. I have a feeling one of the Sigma primes will blow it out the water though.
What is that written on the lens 'MUTI' Coated? That aside I'm one of those blokes that don't care too much about little idiosyncrasies and instead would embrace it's imperfections. Think I'll buy one. Thank you for the video😀
Really well covered.
Thanks Mark, really appreciate it
Well done D. Always good to see someone who appreciates something that's less than perfect. And it seems well suited to a grey rainy Brummie day!
Most definitely, and yes my imperfectly perfect Brum combined well with the lens and the rain 😃
Lovely images. Very nice lens to judge from the images you have made. Thank you Damian.
Thank you!!!!
Waiting for this lens to turn up, can't wait now after seeing your video!!!!
Hope you like it!

Now you said that, I'd love to try it on my S5!

The thing that I like most about this lens is that its MUTI coated. Something I haven't seen in any other lens. 😂
The best ever 😁
