    Man...I'd do that in a 💓 heartbeat! It looks like more fun than Disneyland, and costs A LOT less.

    Great music choice. It looks like the place to film a spaghetti western. This line doesn't have to worry about fallen gum trees and blackberry bushes.

      Marlene wants to fight! -- Well i don’t know if this is a troll or not but i just noticed i said 350 and not 360 😂. So to make a 360 VR video, there are many companies out there who make these cameras... Some very affordable and some very expensive. Im partial to Insta360... wide range of cameras and prices. But there are a lot of companies that make very good and affordable cameras. Simple to operate and do a great job.

      Gary Jones the rail road is still in operation. The NNRy has several steam engines and a couple of Diesel engines. They do tours to Ruth all the time, and in the winter they go
      On Polar Express excursions. The railroad north of McGill is mostly abandoned though, and the highway department paved over the tracks at Currie

    Was this really the end of the line? It looked like you could push it forward and keep going.

    • @Vincent_Sullivan
      @Vincent_Sullivan 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that is pretty much the end of the line. You will note that this section of rail is identified in the video as the "High Line". When in full operation its function was to take trains of copper ore cars to the concentrator plant which was located on the sloping side of the valley. This line was built up the side of the valley so that it could dump the ore into the plant up high and the process could then flow downhill so most of the material movement was done by gravity. Concentrated ore was then loaded into freight cars for the trip North up the floor of the valley on the "Main Line". There was no point in carrying the "high line" further North past the concentrator plant when, if you wanted to travel further North, you would just do it on the main line. This "end of line" is located just East of McGill Nevada at the North end of town. The concentrator plant is long gone, but of you look at the area on Google maps / Google Earth you can still see some remnants of the infrastructure such as water tanks and the like.
