Especially ones dating back to the late 90s or so where he would be accused of influencing school shootings and other violent crimes. His responses were always so calm and composed, and even more so they were logical and made you think. You could tell a lot of interviewers just thought they were going to have an easy time tearing apart the “freak show” and were very taken back by his responses.

Think about it. There is a lot of "positive music videos and songs" out there but then you have Manson who people may think is "really disturbing or bad". So he balances the world out. You can't have the good without the bad. Might I suggest "Coma White", "Personal Jesus"', "I Don't Like The Drugs But The Drugs Like Me", "mOBSCENE", "Tainted Love" are are really good ones he has made. While I have been a huge Manson fan for more than 20 years, I would recommend most of their discography over Cry Little Sister. It's a good song originally and their treatment of it didn't really improve the track.
I love this story, but my mom had the pleasure of seeing Manson live once. She and her friend had seats around the edge of the stadium they were at, and they could kinda see backstage. She said he was up running around the stage, very active for the whole show, and then after the last song he went backstage and literally collapsed into the arms of a couple of his roadies exhausted. Marilyn Manson, being the icon he was, of course started getting chants for an encore. She said he caught his breath for a moment, and went back out and did another song, just as active as he was for the whole set. Amazing musician and performer, and as soon as you start digging you can see how much passion he puts into his work.

As a 90s goth kid, and with a bit of hindsight, at the end of the century i believe we were trying to bring an end to the old guard way of things to find our true places in this existence. Marilyn Manson showed me the true face of it and by result gave me the strength to find my true self through mine own darkness. Later as i was disillusioned and saw my god for the human he is. But a lesson came through the disappointment is also a lyric of his. "What i wanted, what i needed, i got from me". I will always love him for all he showed of himself to me for me to find all of myself to show.
Known Manson (Brian Warner to me) since like 1990, to me he's a good friend, a very smart guy, and owner of the largest lunchbox collection I have ever seen. Used to hang out with him a lot back in Florida when he was coming up in the name of Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids...but he is a good guy.

Loved this! I saw Marilyn Manson being interviewed by the press after Columbine. They asked him what he would have said to the kids who were responsible. He replied that he wouldn't say anything to them...he would LISTEN to them, because obviously no one else had. I thought his response was brilliant, and insightful. I respect Marilyn Manson as an artist. He truly is a creative genius.
He reatched to people then, he reaches people now and he will reach people in the future with his music. There are allways going to be people that feel this way, and having someone tell you youre not alone, telling you that other people feel the way you feel makes you want to go on. He helpes so manny.

I was bullied to the point I wanted to drop out of school but music for me through without doing anything bad and Marilyn Manson was someone I listened to a lot during school.

As a 90s goth kid, and with a bit of hindsight, at the end of the century i believe we were trying to bring an end to the old guard way of things to find our true places in this existence. Marilyn Manson showed me the true face of it and by result gave me the strength to find my true self through mine own darkness. Later as i was disillusioned and saw my god for the human he is. But a lesson came through the disappointment is also a lyric of his. "What i wanted, what i needed, i got from me". I will always love him for all he showed of himself to me for me to find all of myself to show.
Known Manson (Brian Warner to me) since like 1990, to me he's a good friend, a very smart guy, and owner of the largest lunchbox collection I have ever seen. Used to hang out with him a lot back in Florida when he was coming up in the name of Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids...but he is a good guy.

Loved this! I saw Marilyn Manson being interviewed by the press after Columbine. They asked him what he would have said to the kids who were responsible. He replied that he wouldn't say anything to them...he would LISTEN to them, because obviously no one else had. I thought his response was brilliant, and insightful. I respect Marilyn Manson as an artist. He truly is a creative genius.
He reatched to people then, he reaches people now and he will reach people in the future with his music. There are allways going to be people that feel this way, and having someone tell you youre not alone, telling you that other people feel the way you feel makes you want to go on. He helpes so manny.
