I agree but he is not the finished package yet. His performances in the BWB camp show us how much he needs to improve to compete with the top draft prospects in his class
To be fair if he stays in PH, and ateneo actively recruited him, he will not develop these skills. He made a right choice taking his talents overseas and i believe espn rank him in top 50 in class of 2021 best players and i believe he rank 20+ in big man category.

KAI is a complete high IQ big, legit 7'2 who can shoot, defend, pass, run and post up. Tons of potential he just has to stay healthy.
He is not defending properly yet..but block shots are good..needs to improve on the defense more and weight training..but helluva prospect..cant wait to see him in nba

I hope he makes it to the league. He’s a very humble and determined young man and an old school type of big man player. met him once in Manila where he was The Finals MVP of the Ateneo University HS basketball team in 2017 and he dominated in that tournament with his skill set. This kid hasn’t changed at all, still very kind and respectful yet he has improved his skill as a big man. Stay Strong young man!

Kai impresses me a LOT. Watched him in FIBA U17 these past years and i thought he just a "7 feet" player and slow. And i believe he made a right choice taking his talents overseas than stay in PH and did not listen to guys like Chot Reyes and play in Ateneo.
PH is known for lack of big men who can play on high level. I think Kai will erase these narratives if his Quality and progress of play improves.

People often forget that he's legit a little more than 7'2 and being compared to kids who are "7'0" who are technically 6'10 /6'11 that would expectedly move faster. He was 5'8 when hes was about 7 y.o. and 6'9 at age 13 when most of those guys are what, 5'10, 6'0... He's been a giant all his life and yet is well coordinated unlike those "big kids".
