Danielle, I'm writing to thank you. Watching these videos is almost a meditation for me. I am transported. Your garden is literally breathtaking - I hear myself gasping often at the beauty. And, of course, it's the inspiration for my own garden. But beyond the garden, your narration is so peaceful and welcoming. The warmth of your spirit envelopes us as viewers. I never would have thought you could give people an experience like this in a gardening video. Amazing. Thank you. And I hope you have a wonderful day in your garden.

Danielle your garden is perfection ,just so very lovely. I love the way you trimmed up the hydrangea to see under it. Hydrangeas are my favorite flower but I’m almost all sun so I’ll enjoy them in your beautiful garden. Thank you for sharing your beauty 😊

Knew exactly what you were going to say next when you said we have a problem-hydrangeas😅😍, one of your weaknesses. Have not gotten to see Floret as. Yet but on my list. I love unusual Hosta, you can never have too many in the shade garden. Looks like you had lots of inspiration, even for your outdoor library. Your outings are such a treat, thank you Danielle.

It is a pleasure to go with you through the garden centers. I feel understood. I am with you on the pumpkins too. They are all pretty. I !ike how you have them placed around your garden. The squirrels tend to munch on ours so we only put out a couple inexpensive ones.

Wow! Those are the most enviable garden centers! And your garden view at the end makes a seamless transition/continuation! My garden centers in central NY have just about closed shop for the winter, so it was lovely to stroll through yours. Thanks, Danielle!

My juniper shrubs change color in the winter, some of my arborvitae did that too. I too have murdered my share of trees/shrubs/plants. Do not feel bad you don't row that boat alone. I love plants and always overbuy, especially if the price is great. I like a good variety of Hosta big/med/small/miniature too, lime in one side of my yard more green blues on the other. Thanks for the video.

Pruning roses like Monty Don advises to prune his apple trees helps tremendously on my rose bushes. Goblet shape, all crossing branches and inward facing branches, and cut away the dead or diseased. Prune for ventilation so a sparrow can fly through. I pruned in late winter and once this summer. Good luck!

Hi Danielle, I’m a fellow Hydrangea addict! I have 3 Bloomstruck on their 2nd year. They turn from a beautiful pink to purple to the dark raspberry. I had to replace one of them which were under warranty. My hedge of little limes did better under full sun vs the ones I have with part shade. They’re 3-1/2-4’ in their 2nd season.
I’m also planning a cut garden next spring, so I love watching your past videos on this topic. Thank you! Anne from Northern Illinois. 👩🏻‍🌾

We are also get Japanese beetles, we do try to do grub control for our lawns (we use an organic type of control), but if neighbors don't do any type of control, then they still go all around the areas. Nice selection of plants, I'm sure you found a lot that you wanted!

Hey Danielle, I'm wondering what was on the Bloomstruck leaves? Disease, critter? I looked through many of the comments to see if someone else asked. I think the Bloomstruck was my favorite, but if its susceptible to a disease, and would end up like this every year then that would definitely affect my decision whether to buy some.

Danielle, I have a question. I have an underperforming dahlia. Should I pull this year or let it stay and hope that it performs better next year. It is Cornel Bronze, I know it is supposed to be prolific. Mine has only had a few blooms and weak color. This is my second year growing dahlias. I have limited space so that is why I am asking. We down sized and I moved from 6a NE OH to 8a SC. Thanks for any help! 😊 P.S. Here in SC we don’t have to dig up our dahlias.

Hi Cheri! What was the tuber like when you planted it? Did it only have one eye? Was it a single tuber or a clump? Does the foliage color look good? If there is no sign of virus and your tuber doesn’t have crown or leafy gall then it should do much better next year. Are you seeing lots of leafy shoots at the base? That would signal leafy gall and it would be worth digging up the tuber to check for gall at the top of the tuber. If the tuber only had one eye to start it probably just needs another year. Feel free to send me a picture of the plant and close up on the leaf on Instagram.

Sorry I forgot to add I have 6 of those roses and if I didn’t start 2 new gardens this year I would have already torn them out and put them in the trash. I added one at a time over the six years now year 8 and the just look awful. Not worth the space in my garden. We alternate years of bad Japanese beetles and hardy ever. The year I put in 5 beautiful Austen roses we had so many I lost my mind. Now that I pulled them out and gave them to a neighbor we have hardly any.
