In this video, we will be walking you through replacing the boiler insulation on an Nuova Simonelli Oscar Espresso machine.
The insulation we used is Lightweight Melamine Foam from McMaster Carr. You can get it from this link: www.mcmaster.c...
The Foam Part # we used was 86145K2 But I think the same item with facing, might work just as well and rip less, the model number for that is 9249K21

Basically insulating it with a big Mr Clean Magic Eraser, lol. It's all melamine foam.

As in what? A full tear down? Let me know thanks. Really you just take the screws out; there’s 6 on top and 10 on the bottom. Also 2 screws for the water reservoir valve and 2 for the brain. After that it’s naked

is experiencing damage,
can't produce hot water.

Do you have a descale routine for the Oscar? Mine is long over due for sure
The best way is to take the boiler out and put it and all the copper parts in a bucket, but you can use caffiza and run it through the group head and tank, but the rinse process is so long.
