For 24 hour supply of renewable energy solar + storage will be needed.
Model Y with 100+ less HP, 40% less torque……… walking the Mach E. That’s a damn shame. A Model Y Performance eats both of these cars for lunch. That Genesis was absolutely MOVING!

The Mach E is designed to have full power for only 5 seconds after that the car slows down substantially. That’s why it’s gaps them on the take off but always loses the race.
The Model Y Performance has 450hp and 471lb/torque vs GV60 483hp and 516lb/torque with "boost" mode (last 10 secs and can be continuously reactivated). But, of course, the GV60 is a luxury vehicle and isn't designed for the most optimal CD: 0.29 vs 0.23 for the MY.
Hyundai battery degradation is a problem if it is losing that much percentage now wait a couple months and years people always trying to crown Hyundai tesla been doing this for years see how that gv60 is in a couple years running at 10 percent on a full charge 😆
Hopefully they will remove that limit as software improves. It's silly to limit a car to 5 seconds of full power when they know people want to take it out to see what it can do.

The cv gt is defintely faster 😎 they removed a lot of weight on it with manual bucket seats and removing the luxury things. Too bad both these cars have less than 200 mile range
Not only is the Genesis faster but the interior is miles better looking and much more premium than both the Tesla and Mach-e. I'll take the Genesis without hesitation.

I added the performance upgrade on my model Y and it made a big difference. I'm assuming that the Y they were racing didn't have it because they never mentioned it.

They went by price. Model Y LR in Canada starts at 79,480Cad, gv60 starts at 71kcad. Depends on what you're comparing. Performance or price or price to performance ratio. Also on that case the Ev6 GT would be a better race for the model Y performance. But that said the model Y performance also runs 11.9-12.1 quarter miles. The gv60 also runs 11.9.
Nothing to do with over heating. It's to maintain battery life at 70% reducing the need to replace batteries and keeping it a viable option for the pre-owned market. Most owners will use a 5 second burst to enter an interstate or pass another vehicle. Not for drag racing. I believe that Shelby may introduce a performance Mustang Mach E GT without that program.

Model Y Performance would have beat both. The GV60 has a similar 0-60 than the MY, but the MY has more top end as apparent by this drug race where it kept up with the GV60 in the roll despite being down 100+ ponies and 40% less torque.

You need to research how the Mustang Mach E GT battery system works. It's set up for rapid acceleration of approximately 5 seconds for merging on an interstate or passing another vehicle, then drops to a lower power to preserve the batteries life at 70%. This keeps owners from having future battery issues and keeping it a viable pre-owned vehicle. If you want to see what Ford produced in high performance EVs. Watch the wheel standing EV Mustang Cobra Jet and Mach E 1400 make 1/4 mile passes. Considering battery replacement can cost as much as $20,000. I would rather have the Mach E battery saving program that saves the batteries.

I’ve seen reviews and numbers that shows how the Mach E suddenly looses all steam in higher speeds. Ford is making a mistake in not giving the Mach E full power in higher speeds.
Their batteries can't handle the heat well. Cylindrical cells have the advantage of much better cooling, so higher performance potential. Odd that they didn't use a performance Y.

I'd take the Tesla any day. The Tesla charging network makes all the difference and the performance and range are unmatched. To say both of the non-Teslas were the performance version, the non-performance Tesla still held its own. This video would have carried more weight if you had performance variants of each of the models.
The new Kia ev6 GT would wipe the floor with them all lol, that genesis looks beautiful inside , be my pick out of the ones in this race, the Mach e GT looks fine for first 5 seconds or about 75 or 80 mph then it cuts power to save battery so be no use on a track lol, I think for us in UK it be fine but for autobahn it be no use, hopefully ford will address this only 5 second of full power issue an give it full power constantly, big thumbs up for the genesis it's stunning 👌👍🏴
becuase it won't even be close. GV60 0-60 is 5.5, and a Y performance does it in 3.5. Also, Y Perf. starts at $70,000 USD even though it has crap build quality.
Sorry you are wrong At the track with 70% charge My 2022 Tesla model Y Performance Runs an 11:80 @ 115 mph 1/4 Way quicker than all 3 of those vehicles. Take them to the track on the clocks that's the only real way to know how quick they really are.
I like this video as an GV60's owner in South Korea. Plus, It has an outstanding interior design as well as the performance. That's why I had selected this one.
Ford limiting and tapering down the power of the Mach-E was probably the greatest recent example of bad decision making from big auto. What were they thinking? It's the performance model and it's as fast as a Ford Focus above 70mph

I was actually impressed by Tesla MY LR coming close to performance versions of the other 2 models. I think a boost pack is enough to beat the other 2 cars, not even performance version is needed.

The Mustang's launch has got to be nasty. Considering I know how quick the Gv60 is, it's amazing how badly it gets blown out from a stop. But it's got some speed limiter on it by the looks of it. (I know they also tone the horsepower down after a launch or something) whereas the Gv60 clearly has a higher top speed.
Koreans are going to have a monopoly on EVs. SK Innovations (Korean) builds Ford's batteries, LG Chem (Korean) builds GM's batteries, Samsung builds Stellantis-Chrysler's batteries. I think they'll save the best batteries for themselves. Tesla uses Japan's Panasonic. I think Toyota may also control their own supply since they've developing solid-state batteries. No American company controls any meaniningful amount of lithium-ion or solid-state battery patents to be self-sufficient. So, they're screwed. The fact Korean and Japanese companies are building battery factories in the U.S. for all American EVs is proof of my statement.
Let's not forget, the Genesis GV60 performance trim is about 6k cheaper than the long range model Y and about 12k cheaper than the Y performance. Price wise it's a great comparison.
Not sure where you got your numbers but they are totally wrong. Here in the states gv60 performance starts at $68k which is $2k more expansive than the standard MY and only $1.5k cheaper than MYP.

Probably not on the Y acceleration boost, it’s almost as fast as the performance. I have it on the 3, and on a roll we are tied, the performance is quicker out of the hole by .5 seconds

I was so excited about the EVs that Ford had planned, but then Ford did what Ford does and screwed things up. The Ford Mach-E is a wiring and plumbing mess; it continues to have electrical issues, the price has jumped, and the GT gets stomped by a non-GT GV60 and a non-performance Model Y. Then there is the Lightning. Ford has underwhelmed in the range department; the price has raised by nearly $10,000 on many models when options are included. This was before Ford even shipped 15,000 units. While telling even day-one reserve holders, including myself, they would not honor the original price. I've owned several Fords, but I'm done with them. Thanks for the reminder about how much Ford sucks.
Tesla Performance and NOT Dual motor will be interesting in the mix. But seems like GV60 even though is the quickest is a battery drain platform which is not ideal. Mach-E with it's top trim losing to dual motors says it all. Also kw/hr used in these races and top speed reached will be good to know.

Omg! Genesis interior is beautiful, way better than the other two imo. Ford’s looks kinda boring, they need to step up the interior a lil bit.
What's funny is the California Route 1 has, in my opinion, a nicer interior than the GT models which typically cost more.
In terms of build quality tesla matches entry level cars mostly so you cant even really compare them lol
The Genesis is a luxury brand, Ford is not. The Mach-e actually has one of the best Ford interiors to date though.

exactly. The others they used had sport mode and this MY LR probably doesn't even have acceleration boost. The Performance Y would destroy these two.

Nothing to do with over heating. It's to maintain battery life at 70% reducing the need to replace batteries and keeping it a viable option for the pre-owned market. Most owners will use a 5 second burst to enter an interstate or pass another vehicle. Not for drag racing. I believe that Shelby may introduce a performance Mustang Mach E GT without that program.

Model Y Performance would have beat both. The GV60 has a similar 0-60 than the MY, but the MY has more top end as apparent by this drug race where it kept up with the GV60 in the roll despite being down 100+ ponies and 40% less torque.

You need to research how the Mustang Mach E GT battery system works. It's set up for rapid acceleration of approximately 5 seconds for merging on an interstate or passing another vehicle, then drops to a lower power to preserve the batteries life at 70%. This keeps owners from having future battery issues and keeping it a viable pre-owned vehicle. If you want to see what Ford produced in high performance EVs. Watch the wheel standing EV Mustang Cobra Jet and Mach E 1400 make 1/4 mile passes. Considering battery replacement can cost as much as $20,000. I would rather have the Mach E battery saving program that saves the batteries.

Fastest does not equal most advanced. Especially when not comparing equivalent models of vehicles. Need to consider battery chem, OTA updates, infotainment UI. None of that was discussed in this video, so hard to agree with your "most advanced " comment

I’ve seen reviews and numbers that shows how the Mach E suddenly looses all steam in higher speeds. Ford is making a mistake in not giving the Mach E full power in higher speeds.

Their batteries can't handle the heat well. Cylindrical cells have the advantage of much better cooling, so higher performance potential. Odd that they didn't use a performance Y.

I'd take the Tesla any day. The Tesla charging network makes all the difference and the performance and range are unmatched.
To say both of the non-Teslas were the performance version, the non-performance Tesla still held its own.

The new Kia ev6 GT would wipe the floor with them all lol, that genesis looks beautiful inside , be my pick out of the ones in this race, the Mach e GT looks fine for first 5 seconds or about 75 or 80 mph then it cuts power to save battery so be no use on a track lol, I think for us in UK it be fine but for autobahn it be no use, hopefully ford will address this only 5 second of full power issue an give it full power constantly, big thumbs up for the genesis it's stunning 👌👍🏴

Sorry you are wrong At the track with 70% charge My 2022 Tesla model Y Performance Runs an 11:80 @ 115 mph 1/4 Way quicker than all 3 of those vehicles. Take them to the track on the clocks that's the only real way to know how quick they really are.

I have the GTPE and yes, it's very fast and sticks to the road but that 5 second limit is killer. Wish they figure out how to remove it.

Ford limiting and tapering down the power of the Mach-E was probably the greatest recent example of bad decision making from big auto. What were they thinking? It's the performance model and it's as fast as a Ford Focus above 70mph

I was actually impressed by Tesla MY LR coming close to performance versions of the other 2 models. I think a boost pack is enough to beat the other 2 cars, not even performance version is needed.

gv60 driver can't use launch control?
What a waste. First off, the "races" just sort of start arbitrarily, no lineup, nothing. Then there's all the useless footage of talking on walkie-talkies and doing nothing. No wide shots. No overhead.
The Mustang's launch has got to be nasty. Considering I know how quick the Gv60 is, it's amazing how badly it gets blown out from a stop. But it's got some speed limiter on it by the looks of it. (I know they also tone the horsepower down after a launch or something) whereas the Gv60 clearly has a higher top speed.

Koreans are going to have a monopoly on EVs. SK Innovations (Korean) builds Ford's batteries, LG Chem (Korean) builds GM's batteries, Samsung builds Stellantis-Chrysler's batteries. I think they'll save the best batteries for themselves. Tesla uses Japan's Panasonic. I think Toyota may also control their own supply since they've developing solid-state batteries. No American company controls any meaniningful amount of lithium-ion or solid-state battery patents to be self-sufficient. So, they're screwed. The fact Korean and Japanese companies are building battery factories in the U.S. for all American EVs is proof of my statement.

Let's not forget, the Genesis GV60 performance trim is about 6k cheaper than the long range model Y and about 12k cheaper than the Y performance. Price wise it's a great comparison.
The Model Y is a foot longer and has more cargo space (rear & frunk). This is the first year of the gv60 being released the price will increase.
Not sure where you got your numbers but they are totally wrong. Here in the states gv60 performance starts at $68k which is $2k more expansive than the standard MY and only $1.5k cheaper than MYP.

Probably not on the Y acceleration boost, it’s almost as fast as the performance. I have it on the 3, and on a roll we are tied, the performance is quicker out of the hole by .5 seconds

I was so excited about the EVs that Ford had planned, but then Ford did what Ford does and screwed things up. The Ford Mach-E is a wiring and plumbing mess; it continues to have electrical issues, the price has jumped, and the GT gets stomped by a non-GT GV60 and a non-performance Model Y. Then there is the Lightning. Ford has underwhelmed in the range department; the price has raised by nearly $10,000 on many models when options are included. This was before Ford even shipped 15,000 units. While telling even day-one reserve holders, including myself, they would not honor the original price. I've owned several Fords, but I'm done with them. Thanks for the reminder about how much Ford sucks.
The mustang throttles back to save the battery so you get to play longer. Wait till the Shelby addition.
Tesla Performance and NOT Dual motor will be interesting in the mix. But seems like GV60 even though is the quickest is a battery drain platform which is not ideal. Mach-E with it's top trim losing to dual motors says it all. Also kw/hr used in these races and top speed reached will be good to know.
So don’t give the mach e full power until the end to save that max hit for the last 5 seconds

Something is up with the GV60 / or boost mode wasn’t used - it’s been down to 3.4 seconds in Testing. The lowest the Mach E GT PE has been is 3.6.

Ford needs to calibrate their power curve cause it can stay powerful for a longer time.
The model Y is no looker... Didn't even look at it. Eyes were on Mustang and mostly the Genesis. Kia EV6 GT is supposed to be even faster than Genesis.
The Y Performance is a looker. The lower stance, in dark grey, looks amazing. Plus it's faster than both of these cars.
