Martin Bakole says he wants a big world title fight in 2023 and would like to face Daniel Dubois. The 29-year-old also claims to have stopped Oleksandr Usyk in sparring.

All I know is that Bakole was beaten by Hunter and had a very close fight with Kuzmin. He's levels below Usyk. He could have knocked down Usyk in sparring, and now he's bragging about it and pretends he even stopped him. Class act.

thing is sparring is practice, these guys shouldnt really be throwing punches with the intention of hurting the guy they are working for.
bakole has went from i knocked usyk out, to i stopped usyk, then its i hit him with a good shot and he stopped the spar for a min then carried on.

@KAS when I said bakole was slow, I meant his movement. He’s a very static fighter. He has good hand speed tho.
And personally I don’t see bakole being near the top of HW but maybe he could. However I am 100% confident he will never smell the levels of usyk let alone reach it. When his career is all done and dusted, usyk will be seen as an all time great. If he spoke english, everyone would be screaming saying he’s top 5 of all time. I doubt bakole will be anywhere near those talks.

It will work against him if he’s not careful, Usyk will only get fired up and outsmart, outpunch him he’s done that to everyone and he’s always got a lot in the tank.
