I’m back, from what I’ve heard the domes and the hollow points are almost completely different pellets despite looking so similar. My 362 loves the domed heavy, and after measuring a sample from 3 tins the head diameters are incredibly consistent. The piranhas shoot pretty well out of my 362 as well. I like the domed heavy for small game hunting and the piranhas for pest birds. Great video man.

Interesting! I always assumed the domed and HP’s were the same exact pellet, just one had a dimple in the top.
It’s hard for me to put up with the Magfire’s problems when my Model 34 just works AND shoots quite smoothly.

@@airgunsofalaska I agree, it would be more of a novelty to try to get it to work well. It would be hard for me personally to put so much time into the mag fire when other better guns are out there

@@okayestmedia after a brief shooting session tonight at 39°F and having the plunger mechanism get stuck twice and stop functioning I think I’m over it. I was trying different holds and it shot terrible. I’ve got two new mags that are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I might was well try it out with those…. Maybe, I don’t know. I’m pretty over trying to make this thing work. It’d be better if I return the new mags unopened. At this moment returning the gun is again the way I’m leaning.

@@airgunsofalaska I would agree with that. I feel like there’s gotta be something wrong with the one you got. If returning it is still on the table that may be the best option

Thanks for Sharing. See it all comes down to what pellets a particular barrel likes.every rifle is a little different.

Totally! Creating this channel and learning from fellow airgunners has been a very rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Interesting results with the Jumbos. I tried them when I had a new Benjamin NP which is kinda powerful, but in the NP they'd just make this 'clunk' sound and not even hit the paper. Figured they were just too heavy for even that power level, weird that this gun doesn't have that problem.

I was really loving how my model 34 just shot everything and shot it well. So weird how pellet picky some guns can be and then with others they just work. If I wasn’t so into airguns I’d have given up on many of my guns already and just shot this. But, that wouldn’t be any fun… I guess? 🤔😀
Sometimes I like to think if I only had one airgun, one for every day use, not collecting or keeping for posterity sake. Which would it be? I think it’d be this Model 34 Panther. It’s just does everything right and isn’t so expensive that’d I’d be nervous about taking it out in the woods or field and dropping it into the dirt or knocking it around.

@@airgunsofalaska I've thought about that question too, obv if I could only keep 1 it would be one I grew up with but a practical one? A 34 is a great choice. I might take a 362 if I knew it was a good one; a little less weight and recoil at the expense of pumping. Nothing like that oldschool feel of a pocket full of 22 pellets and unlimited air 😁

What is the weight of the “heavy pellets” on the second target?
