  • BlackSeaRC presents the first video in a series looking at the new Orlandoo Hunter (OH) OH32X02 X-Roll Cage Series Trophy Truck. This is a hobby-grade 1:32 scale radio controlled (RC) micro off-road racer kit. It is the latest cell-phone size RC product from Orlandoo Hunter and was released in 2022.
    In this video, the kit is unboxed and we also prepare for the build by looking at all the ancillary parts required to construct the kit and get the truck up and running. This includes the electronics bundle consisting of D4L radio transmitter handset, combined receiver/ Electronic Speed Controller (ESC), lighting group, sound group, steering servo, 3000rpm N30 geared brushed motor assembly, 7.4V LiPo battery equipment, etc.
    A selection of upgrade parts shall also be fitted including a servo saver, metal driveshaft and metal suspension. There will be further customisation involving painting a spare body to represent a real full-size trophy truck.
    The OH32X02 kit is an accurate representation of a real trophy truck with 4x2 drive configuration. It features a 3D printed roll cage style chassis, independent double wishbone front suspension, trailing arms with solid axle at the rear, metal bearings, coil spring shock absorbers and dampers at each wheel station, all-terrain tyres including two rear-mounted spare tyres, interior detailing and a pre-painted polycarbonate body.
    In future videos, you will be able to follow the kit build, including the incorporation of the upgrades, plus further customisation. The trophy truck will then be subjected to comprehensive testing including indoor and outdoor driving. If you want to see if this machine is suitable as a cool desktop driver or an impressive scale-realistic micro off-road racer, then look out for upcoming videos.

      I've been looking at the Orlandoo Hunter products for quite a while (e.g. the pick-up trucks appealed to me), but I was never fully convinced due to the high price and limited capabilities. Then they released this new Trophy Truck and it appears to have pretty realistic suspension movement and actual off-road potential. So I thought I'd give it a try and attempt to replicate a real race truck. Can't wait to start the build and see how it drives.

      @@BlackSeaRC I belive is going to be awesome. I have all in 1/18 scale because is cheaper than 1/32 scale and more model options and action figures and take allot less space than 1/10 scale

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@carloshnunez I know what you mean, I have a lot of RC vehicles spread around and a 1:10 scale truck takes up a lot of space. This micro truck on the other hand is a very compact package but still retains a good level of scale realism. The price though is something you have to consider carefully. All of my 1:18 scale trucks and even some of the 1:12 scale buggies in my collection were cheaper than this 1:32 scale kit. I never had this brand before either so it is a bit of a risk but I read some good things about it so decided to try it for myself.

      @@carloshnunez Also, I was looking around for a 1:28 to 1:32 scale driver figure to suit this vehicle. Of course there is very limited choice at this scale so I'm still searching.

      @@carloshnunez I found a 1:32 scale driver figure with racing costume and I have now custom-painted the body so it looks more scale realistic. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/t8tjh_xWAZI/w-d-xo.html

    I will be interested to see how you get on with the build and whether everything goes together properly.

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I will find out soon as the build is underway. With larger scales, there is a greater tolerance if parts don't quite fit properly so at this micro scale, the quality of the parts is going to be critical. I think the main issue is going to be handling the tiny fixings!

    Nice unboxing.
    Did you know, somehow (and I cannot figure out how this could possibly happen), but there are spots or artifacts on the screen in the video. I spent half the video trying to clean my phone screen only to find out the spots rotate if I rotated my phone. You must have had an overlay layer with some slightly visible artifacts on it.

      Thank you for watching the video and for taking the time to leave a comment. I have checked the video again and I see nothing unusual on the screen. It all looks fine and clear to me with no spots. Very strange! @@BlackSeaRC it's very hard to see the artifacts. It just looks like a smudge on my screen. I wish I could post a pic here.

      @@wickedfog3047 Perhaps I had a dust particle on the camera lens. At same stage the camera and tripod fell over on the beach when I was recording a driving video. It could be that the screen you are watching on is a higher resolution than mine so you see higher quality images than I do. I will check the camera. Anyway, I hope you still liked the video.

      Oh yeah, one of the best unboxing vids. But those artifacts I am seeing are only visible on the all gray screens between the footage. Like the one that appears at 0:37
      It's no biggie. Just me having OCD and scrubbing my phone to remove something that wasn't there had me scratching my head lol.
      Thanks for the vid. I am wating to grab one of these trucks as soon as I build the Tundra and the camper trailer.

      @@wickedfog3047 Now I know what caused it. I made a video of my wall and used it to add text. There must be a mark on the wall. You are the first person to notice, haha! The Tundra looks like a nice model. I almost got that before they released the trophy truck. I heard that the camper trailer is also a challenging build. The new Scania tractor truck is also supposed to be the hardest kit to build so far.

    very..............Small and intersting car

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Officially it is 1:32 scale (twice the size of a Hot Wheels car), but if I put the body next to my 1:24 scale truck, it is not so much smaller. Generally, it is considered to be closer to 1:28 scale but, yes, it is still small! It uses full hobby grade electronics so the components look similar to those in my 1:10 scale trucks, only shrunk down by a factor of 3 to fit. The beauty of this truck is they did it this way. Everything is designed like a bigger truck (e.g. suspension, steering, chassis, driveline, etc.), but just on a micro scale. Even the screws are scaled down so it will be a challenging build.

      @@hwroadbeasts That is much of the appeal to me. I like that it can be made to look like a real truck. I have a plan to try to replicate a real desert racer.

    I have a pretty clean mini outdoor track, can I run this car on it? I mean if it is dustproof...

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I recently ran mine on the beach. These products are designed for indoor or outdoor use. You'll get sand and dust all over it but when I'd finished, I dusted all the sand off with a small paintbrush and it was fine. I wouldn't recommend going through puddles but dry dirt will be okay. Just be aware that it will be tricky to clean in places due to the small scale and it will probably never look as good as new again.
