I just loved that interviewer, very empathetic of Jokoy's situation. No need to further crucify someone who already feels bad. It's clear when a comment is just hateful and not constructive anymore... Laugh at other's demise, and see what happens on your worst days as well

he was definitely held up by woke conformism. jo is normally pretty funny when there are no conformity strings attached. jim was pretty funny, ricky was crazy funny - but those guys didn't bend to woke ideology. come to think of it jo was telling us on stage many of the jokes were not his.... so the suits cut his creativity with conformity. this kind of stuff really sucks.

There are always some awkward jokes, it's part of the deal. Taylor is not the one orchestrating the cut-aways, so I think this joke actually takes more of a shot at the sports channels. I agree, if you’re not into comedies you wouldn’t know Jokoy at all! Comedy is not an easy industry to be in … it’s easier to make people cry than to make them laugh. Jokoy’s demography started with the Filipinos and then spread out with the Hispanics. He’s just starting to be known but not as big as Chris Rock or Ricky Gervais to name a few . Being offered to host the Golden Globes was a big step up and opportunity to be nationally known , be a negative or positive feedback Jokoy didn’t have anything to lose but to gain! I heard hosting these awards are a thankless job, and the reaction to Jo Koy is proving them right. There is a reason why no other comedian wanted to do it and Jo Koy only got the gig 10 days before, which is not enough time to prepare. Especially since he wasn’t familiar with the movie/shows nominated and had to cram watch them in 10 days. But the big reason why these hosts fail is that they keep cutting away to the star’s reaction, which takes the focus off the comedian. Whenever you watch a taped comedian performing the focus stays on the comedian, not the audience. I really don’t care to watch Taylor Swift’s reaction and could give a rat’s ass how she takes a joke. But after watching her cold response, I can only surmise that she can’t take a joke and takes herself way too seriously.
