  • Come along as we make our rounds at Norwal Farm. The goats are settled into their new quarters in the barn and anticipate their grain feeding now. The weather is to turn cold again so we are adding additional bedding for the does and the puppies down at the shed. We introduced canned puppy food yesterday to the pups and they readily have taken to it. They need just a bit of encouragement, but they are catching on fast. We will feed them once a day just to introduce them to it and then in a few days we will increase it to 3 feedings a day. In about 10 days we will begin mixing moistened kibble into the food and eventually switch them to all kibble. They continue to do very well. Thans again for joining us at Norwal Farm.

Great video. Loved following along on the morning rounds. The does are looking well settled in their birthing area. Puppies are so adorable. Growing really fast!!

To adapt a line from Jaws, you're gonna need a bigger bowl. 😂😂😂

LOL, agreed! These pups are really growing well and very active for their age. Likely will graduate to 2 bowls. Stay tuned!

The goats are looking great!! Hope the weather cooperates for deliveries, not only for the goats but for the humans!😂 The puppies are growing so fast. Looks like you can already see some personality developing. Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!🙏❤

Thanks Cindy, we had just a short cold snap last night, 8 degrees F this morning but it is to moderate again next week with highs in the 30's and lows in the 20's. That weather is actually better than the 40's as the ground stays frozen and it's better for the sheep and goats, dryer for their feet. We could have kids in about a week if some go a few days early!

@@norwalfarm So much better for the animals if the temperatures stop “roller coastering”. All the huge swings are worse than the temperatures being really low. Good luck!!🍀
