i work at an aldi and if you need to shop on a budget all that stuff is similar to name brand stuff just with cheaper prices. do be aware a lot of it is pretty processed but you can’t escape that with grocery stores nowadays. the best part of aldi is the produce and meat sections by far, i’ve probably gained 10 pounds of muscle off the family pack chicken breast packs 😂. they’re only ~11$ for enough chicken for the week
Love Aldi for egg whites, ground turkey, organic grass fed beef 93/7, cheese, Greek yogurt and produce. Amazing prices compared to the regular grocery store and better quality.
I was told that Aldi is the sister store to Trader Joe’s, in the same family so you will find things like Trader Joe’s just with a different brannd name
Close. The family that owned the ALDIs in Germany, split up. One part brought the ALDI stores to the US, the other bought out Trader Joe’s in the 80s when it was already an established business. They’re ran as entirely separate businesses
If you’re looking for protein snacks always use this at your guide for the best macros 10g protein = 100 calories 20g protein = 200 calories 30g protein = 300 calories etc Honestly one of the best item you picked up were the protein puffs. That has around 220 calories for 42g protein? That is crazy best macros I seen so far
Hear me out take the 42gram Protien puffs and put them in a big bowl of popcorn. Instantly anabolic popcorn. I do this almost every weekend watching the UFC fights. Also a diet soda with it. You canr eat that and drink water like a savage haha
Interesting how the US market is so into high protein foods and high protein marketing. Definitely noticed it during my exchange year at UCLA. Here in France you’ll only find a few items with high protein labels (mostly yogurt) even at premium health oriented stores. Also ALDI here has a different strategy, stores look ugly and it’s very budget oriented. You won’t find nice items but hyper processed crap. No one would go film new cool ALDI stuff lmao.
