    This vldeo warms my heart, ang galing ng host, very natural , relatable and smart at the same time. The featured places are all own by the locals, which is so admirable , the amount of artistry, heritage, beauty and serenity of Baguio will make you proud na atin ito. I also love that the host represents her Igorot tribe with pride and modesty. Pati editing ang ganda at galing.

    I spent the 90s in Baguio as a student. It used to be much laid back - a walkable city with lesser vehicles plying the roads. I stayed at the Trancoville area and I used to walk to Mines View for a weekend breather. I passed through Brookside exiting at Teachers' Camp then inched my uphill climb to Pacdal and Mines View.
    I worked at UB as clinical instructor in 2007 leaving with a heavy heart the following year to pursue a nursing career in NZ. During my annual vacations over the next eight years, I had to travel to Baguio straight from Metro Manila to have a feel of the pulse of the city that I consider my second home before I took a trip home to Ifugao.
    Baguio is truly Cordillera's gem where the warmth of the people counters the chilly breeze of this great mountain city. Matagutagu takun amin!

    Been in Baguio last december with my parents as a gift for their wedding anniversary.We flew all the way from Davao City to witness its beauty and cold weather.We've been to mount costa as well though nung nagpunta kami eh nagsisimula pa lang silang magtanim but it's worth the visit.Ang sarap balik balikan talaga.

    I'm a Filipino American and it is so refreshing to see two young ladies speaking English at the beginning so I can understand. And the whole video features people who can actually express themselves in English well. Thank you very much.
    I was there with my sister and her husband earlier in the year (March 2020) when most of the places started to shutdown because of the pandemic. We were in Baguio but didn't get to see much. Hopefully we'll be able to visit again.

      WELL SIR IF YOU ONLY KNOW, IGOROTS OR CORDILLERANS SPEAKS BETTER IN ENGLISH THAN OUR NATIONAL LANGUAGE TAGALOG

    • @Errr717
      @Errr717 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ericperedo131 Really? That's nice to know. Our driver in Baguio did speak English a lot better than some of the people we ran into in Manila. He also spoke a smattering of Ilocano which was the native tongue of our late parents so we understood that as well.
      However, we were very disappointed not only with the traffic but with the smog. It was not easy to breathe until it cleared up later in the afternoon when a breeze came by soon followed by some fog. All in all though, we enjoyed our stay in Baguio.

      @@Errr717 Well sir sorry for that unwanted traffic jam and pollution. But oh man you are in the phillipines not the USA haha its good you overcome those bad things you encountered

      I humbly encourage you to learn your late parents beloved language Ilokano. They also have a beautiful writing system I believe, called Kurdita. You will never lose your English, but your own mother tongue is special. It is a connection to your ancestors home country. It must have been such a culture shock for you to see the real Philippines - it is a developing country but it has so much to offer! I learned so much about my own culture (Kapampangan) and I wish I can go home (I’m in New Zealand). Philippines was once one of the most powerful kingdoms in south east Asia (before Spanish colonisation).

    sa mga nagcocoment dapat lang na tagalog at english ang gamitin kc ipinopromote yong Baguio..at para malaman ng ibang nagcocoment sa interviews ng iba about igorots di daw tayo marunobg magtagalog...fyi those who belittling igorots we can speak a lot of languages

    • @jananabanana422
      @jananabanana422 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      tagalog, ilocano, english, and several local dialects, (kankanaey, ibaloi etc.) 🤣🤣🤣

    • @MeowMeow202
      @MeowMeow202 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they should incorporate their local languages because there is so much “Tagalogness” going on already, it is not a dying language, while the other regional languages are being belittled and pushed aside (the Philippine education system rudely teaching the young generation that these languages are dialects). Many local languages are becoming endangered or already dead. Let us hear your beautiful mother tongue (not just Tagalog). I want to travel and experience the rich cultures of every region in Philippines, they shouldn’t be the same - that would be so boring.

    • @MeowMeow202
      @MeowMeow202 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you said there are people who belittle Igorots for whatever reason, those people are ignorant. We should value and appreciate our indigenous people 💕🇵🇭

Well, there are some places that are still Quiet. It's a good thing we transferred in that more Quieter enviroment. I hope City Hall will listen to us this Time like what happened recent typhoon. No more big Structures like SM that Causes Traffic.
