I'm surprised so many people likes this singer: she can't keep time or even sing in tune, ultimately she does a too long cover which bored me. Anyway, everyone has his/her own taste: if everybody likes the same music, the world will be grey. But I strongly recommend hearing again the original version of this song, waaaayyyyy much better to my personal taste. Then compare.

She also is singing at a slower pace than the original and adding some ooo's and ahhh's. I'm not sure but people may like it because there are a few times she hits notes and has a Joplin-like sound. Both opinions can be valid at once !!!.Also unless Brian May ,Jeff Beck, Ronnie Wood and Jools Holland have become tone deaf of late I'd doubt that they'd spend their precious time performing with a tuneles out of time procrastinator as she drags them to a tortuous finish; Jools Holland's evident delight shines through as he accompanies her on the fabulous "Black Tears"live performance from a "Hootenanny" a few years back.
