  • I bought this budget PC (£390) for family use + creative apps, not primary for gaming. But I'm curious to see how does it perform with games :)
OS: Windows 8 pro 64 bit
    MOBO: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
    CPU: AMD FX 6100 stock
GPU: Palit GTX 650 ti stock
    MEMORY: 8gb OC 1600mhz
In game settings: 1920x1080 1080p + max settings ultra + dx11 enabled + high res enabled + high motion blur. (average fps with fraps: 28fps)

no my system is not overclocked, i don't know why it's showing artifacts while watching it on utube :S because the original video on my pc runs fine without showing any artifacts.

uhm interesting, I think it depends on what game you are running on. Cry2 is more gpu bound, running on intel won't make a noticeable difference, even at 1080p you will probably get an increase of 1-2 fps on average with a fast intel cpu. the video is meant to be showing what a relative cheap pc can do in terms of gaming. although when I have more money, I will probs switch my mobo for an intel cpu, but for now im happy with what I got :)

Ah if that was the answer thanks, I thought that if I was going to see any change, as AMD said it, but hey, maybe AMD FX was designed to play at high resolutions, I think so, because I've seen it on an Intel low resolutions FX gains and not much difference, but if you are very high resolutions regarding AMD increases FPS and even beats Intel,

It depends on what game you are running on, for gpu bound games like cry2, bf3, dirt etc amd performs about the same as intel even on 1080p, cpu bound light-threaded games such starcraft 2, dow2, skyrim amd performs much slower than intel.

sorry I don't understand what you are asking, do you mean if I was running on windows 7? no this is running on windows 8 pro 64 bits, although I've tested it on windows 7, virtually make no difference in terms of performance(unlike some people say that win8 is going to amd fx run better).
